Asurion plans to offer Droid X and Incredible as Droid 1 replacement

oops, i dropped my droid in the toilet

LoL kinda makes you want to make your phone to accidentally have an accident down an elevator shaft... whoopsy...

I am very happy with my droid though... as much as I geek over new tech, since ive got it rooted and over clocked, I really cant find a justifcation for a new phone... it really does everything I need it to

After 2 months i got email saying Your Audiovox INCREDIBLE from Asurion is now available!
Should i wait for option for a Droid X or just grab this Incredible now??

ive had my droid with a cracked screen since march i believe i still kept it cuz it was still functioning and with the deductible i didnt wanna get a replacement...but DROID X makes me wanna call it in lol or i might wait to see about droid 2

How does Verizon handle Warranty replacements? I've replaced my droid twice under the warranty already, anything that is motorolas fault is covered for a year :) . With that said, will verizon still have the droid to give out or will it essentially be a free upgrade to the x or 2? They have to honor the warranty I would suppose even if they don't make the phone anymore.

Asurion makes you jump thru hoops if you don't accept their comps. I was transferred to someone higher up who got the OK to send me an Incredible, but only after 45 mins of being on the phone with them. The only downer is that they are not in stock. They are just like all insurance companies who try to screw over their customer's until they are called to the floor!

They should just automatically give the D1 users a Droid X because of the headphone jack problem. That is a hardware PROBLEM and it needs to be fixed.

Werid, a few days ago when I tryed to get the droid replacement, it said that there were none available online. I called and hassled them and they gave me the whole "sorry we cant do anything except give you an ally." story. I kept my claim open and today i went to finish my claim because a guy at verizon said if i order the ally and return it to him he can get me a droid. When I went to finish it, the internet claim said I was being shipped a droid. So I guess Ill keep you guys updated on that.

I'm sorry, if they tried to give me anything less than the phone I have now(Droid) I would flip the f*Co out. A couple of my buddies have already told me I should lose mine or break it so I can get a Droid x or incredible but I'm just not into that. Plus I like my phone even though it's not the newest coolest thing out.

I'm on my 5th droid in 4 months for the same reason. They claim it's not a known issue, yet they swap it out without even checking to see if I'm telling the truth about it. Let's be real. The droid is a piece of garbage.

i called verizon yesterday and they said they are sending me out a replacement droid.. and it will be at my door tomorrow....

More often than not it is user error. Yes, there is the occasional broken phone jack, otherwise its a great phone...

Verizon sending me a MotoDroid tomorrow. Overnighted because my keyboard is shifty among other software bogs/glitches.

I hope this one works better.
