Awesome I can get almost two if I just stay light. Without smart actions so if I ever feel the need I may be looking a few days I guess but I'm happy with keeping my data running and all...lol

Yeah i am not tracking all the talk about poor batter. Especially from the folks that don't own one.

I can understand that...I love my razr and its battery life. It may be people downloading hundreds of apps and not realizing they run but the charging first use is crucial as well....

Ok so i think in the 3rd post i read this....
"Let's get it straight. Battery reviews on the first charge are basically meaningless. Here's what is recommended when you get the phone:

1) Charge that phone all the way up.
2) Run the phone until the battery runs out of charge and the phone shuts down.
3) Charge the phone all the way, nonstop. Nonstop!

Do this with a new phone so the phone gets an understanding of the battery's range. After charging to 100%, unplug and use as normal.

I do this with new phones, after an OTA update, after a factory reset, after a battery change, and at least once every 2 months. Keep in mind that Lithium-based batteries don't really like to be run down all the way so try not to do it too often."

I am on my 2nd charge drain and hear are my results.... snap20111126_142021.webpsnap20111126_142025.webpsnap20111126_142030.webp
so my question is.. now that my phone is calibrated, just how low should i let it get before charging? can i leave on charger too much, or even charge to much? Is charging every night ok?
thanks for the help.

Yep, at this point you probably don't need to concern yourself with charging at any specific "percentage" or "time". Once the battery file is written and you've done the full rundown you can use it normally and casually.

I said this before. People can do what they want. But your three steps are correct...

I've had my Razr since launch day. I did the battery conditioning like I've done on all of my phone. I got the LTE toggle (not a widget, but you don't have to scroll through the settings to switch between 3G and 4G) and I only turn on 4G when I'm downloading something from Kindle or the Market. I was using the Battery Extender smart action in addition to one that turned the data off at night. Even with all that, I was only getting about 6 hours at light to moderate use. That can't happen for me. I'm often away from my office (and plug outlet) for 6 or more hours at a time. A single 5-minute call would set me back 10-15%. And that's with great coverage in my area.

Even though I was beyond the exchange date, I called Customer Service yesterday and exchanged it, no questions asked. The rep didn't sound surprised by my problem. So here's the kicker. Now that my new phone (Stratosphere) is on its way, I decided to kill every smart action except the night one. I uninstalled the brightness widget and set the brightness to auto. Today, it's been off the charger for 10 hours so far. I've played Diversion, posted and read on FB, Twitter, etc., sent texts and made a call. I'm only at 50%. Huh?

I think the OS on mine is screwed up, so even thought the problem appears to be fixed for now, I'm still sending it back. Looking back at my 2+ years of smartphones, I've had to exchange each of them within the first couple of weeks for one that worked right. I need to stop getting a phone on its launch date. I have bad luck, apparently.

How does this work...I'm on my second charge with moderate usage basically on wifi and I'm at 50% with 6 hours off the charger

So i walnt hurt anything by thtowing it on car charger while driving or plugging up a few times throughout the day? I would like to stay above 50% in event of not being able to charge. But dont wanna damage battery as there is no way of replacing it.

I got my phone on Tuesday, and just watched the battery run down . Charged it to 100% that night.

Next day it went down a little slower, mid day I got on here and added smart actions....

Thursday it was working a bit better got 12 hours out of a full charge,,,,

Yesterday I did the above , ran it out completely, charged it fully over night...

Today the phone is awesome, I am at 80% right now...

PLEASE PLEASE, listen to what they are telling us,,, run the battery down and out, then full charge nonstop... You will love the results, I have done nothing else and can easily get through a day....

Thanks to all who kept saying run it down and out and then charge nonstop,,, It really works....

What I did and always do is charge it before even turning it on.To 100% then let it discharge then when it gets to 100% again..My battery only gets charged when down to 25% and I complete drain and charge while off to 100% once a week and I have always had good battery on all 5 devices...including razr..
