Best rom/kernel for features and battery life

So I came from the OG droid as many of us did. I wanted to stay stock as long as possible, but time has come to rom it up.

What is your favorite rom and kernel? Why? Please provide links to your rom and kernel so I can check them out!

Right now I'm running Android Revolution HD and love it. It's fast, smooth, and still feels stock with great battery life. You can see it in the Nexus ROM section
