I'm having a problem with it connecting to the computer as well. Everytime I hook it up, everything starts to shut down (foreclose) on my X. Don't know why, any help would be great..

For me whenever I would plug my X in, it would not work the first time. I would have to disconnect it then connect it to my computer again. However I never had any force closes on my phone.
oh sweet :icon_ banana: and would anyone be able to tell me what Droid x (2nd-int) is??? Was going through Rom manager trying to find nightlies (cant find them) .

2nd-init is the method used to get Cyanogenmod7 to boot on your DX. If you're running CM7 on your DX, your phone is Droid X (2nd-init). I thought I covered this earlier, but maybe I'm wrong. The 2nd-init helps ROM Manager figure out which way it should flash the Clockwork Recovery to your phone, if I'm not mistaken. I don't want to go into any further detail over it because I'm not a dev so I'm not 100% on how exactly it works, but I do know that if you're running CM7 on your DX, you're Motorola Droid X (2nd-init). Good to go?
Thanks and sorry if im making you repeat yourself its 4 am here lol sorry about that  but i tried to use that method because I'm about to flash the new nightlie but it kept freezing when i tried to make a backup.

It's no problem, I could have said it in another thread. I've been bouncing around a lot on here the last couple of days. Anywho, how were you trying to make the backup? Through ROM Manager or through Recovery? And have you updated ROM Manager and flashed the newest Recovery (With 2nd-init as your device)? You should have ROM Manager v4.3.2.3 and ClockworkMod Recovery 4.0.0.5. If you keep having issues, go into your app drawer and try to run your Superuser app. If it fails, you need to flash superuser again. It's something to do with the way CM7 nightly builds are flashed to the phone.
