Its very easy to do and takes a matter of seconds. All you have to do is rename the current LatinIME.apk to LatinIME.bak

the file is in /system/app/ and its in there.

Then just download the LatinIME.apk from the OP and put it on your sd card. then move it to /system/app/ then click on it and install. its easy.

Root Explorer is the best app to do this with, and make sure you mount as R/W.

Yup goes in system/app then just click on it and it should ask you to install.

Is anyone else's battery suddenly jumping from 15% to 5% battery..? I recently updated from Nightly #2 (hadn't been paying attention lol) and the problem showed up out of nowhere. I've tried clearing battery stats, too.

34 has been awesome as far as rebooted and battery life. 33 had terrible battery life and I had a ton of reboots. Reminded me of Justice. Hehe

You could also try giving SwiftkeyX a go. Awesome regular style keyboard (not swype). Then you can delete the old keyboard. Same goes for new launchers. Once you have one you like you should delete the others as they take up system resources.

Question: Any major changes in the nightlies since 8 or 9? It seems like people are getting worse battery life now and the camera and camcorder aosp fix hasn't been done yet correct? Any other nice features?

Is there a way to change the pull down text? I tried Liberty Toolbox but it doesn't work. I thought maybe CM7 would have a setting somewhere or something.

I also was wondering about changing the lockscreen theme.

I am 99% sure i have isolated the reason for the bad battery issue surrounding cm4dx. When i reboot into recovery and select wipe battery stats, it is NOT wiping them. So I found an app that does it. Its called battery calibration. I charged my phone to 100% and then opened up the app and hit calibrate battery. My battery life seems to be back to what I used to get. Please try this out and let me know if it works for you all

It IS wiping the battery stats. It's just not letting you know that it has done so. It is a known issue and has a fix currently being reviewed. See here Gerrit Code Review

I'm on n35. Since about 32 or 33 I've had an issue with dialer. Not serious but quite annoying. Say I call a number where I have to input numbers on the dialpad.. (voicemail pin, credit card number, etc.) The phone beeps twice for every number I put in. didn't do that when dialing a number, only when I'm inputting numbers

I'm constantly thinking I hit a number twice by accident and starting over... Ugh!
