[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for the Droid X

I am looking to move my wife's dx to GB and I love cm7 on my TB. It is real stable on the TB but I keep reading conflicting bug reports on the dx.
Two questions :
1. If she is running liberty 2.1 can I just wipe and flash cm7 or is SBC necessary?
2. What are the major issues, I have seen GPS, camera/camcorder, keyboard ( but that doesn't seem a huge one) can anybody give me a sum up?

I sbf'ed and then fan the zip, it didn't take now either. Where are the files I should be flashing for this rom? I used the tbh single zip. From the original post

1. Yes. Just wipe data, cache and dalvik. Mount system and flash. Don't forget to flash the gapps zip before rebooting.
2. At least on the d2 everything works fine. Battery life is not great, but it's super stable. You may have to flash a small patch that fixes the camera. I'm not on a dx at the moment so I'm not sure. Good luck!

You can use the all in one, but follow the instructions on the top (formatting, mounting and what not). Then install gapps.

There's something wrong with battery life on cm7. I just witnessed my battery drop to 5% when i had 15% has anyone noticed that it never says 15% battery left? I tried to wipe battery cache but it still does it.

That has always happened on CM7. I don't know why.

Yesterday, I got exactly 12 hours out of a charge before it died. I was pretty impressed.

Finally I guess I just need to follow the directions better to flash this from.

But I have a question what is the best and easiest way to install the nightlies? Can I do it straight from my phone? Or do I have to download it from my PC and transfer? And lastly do I just flash it over the ROM?

Also I don't think I would have to but is it okay only to flash the latest?

Yes, dl right to your phone. I don't have a computer so everything goes right to my phone.
If you're on froyo or another 2nd init rom (miui, liquid etc..), just dl the latest nightly.
Wipe data, cache and dalvik.
Mount system and install.
Then install google apps zip
Reboot.

The rom's music player, which is really neat, won't play my wma files. Is there anything I can do to avoid having to use a different music player? O

If i'm already on CM7 do I still have to wipe all data cache and dalvik?

I'm not sure what the latest dx nightly is, but yes you want shadow. The installation is the same for the dx and d2

I download the nightly. Move it to root. Then in rom manager I select install rom from sd card. I only check wipe dalvik cache. Then after its done I reboot into recovery and apply the cm7fix2.zip or whatever..., takes about 10 min total with download...
