Bionic Lapdock now $50 at Verizon

Have not noticed that, but have only had it one day.

Sent from my butt-kick'n DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk2

Mine was hot too, but where the battery was. I let it charge without the phone attached and when it was done, the battery area was cool. We'll have to see what it's like on Day 2.

Just curious, what are most people using the lapdock for?

Nothing at the moment, other than using the Bionic Dock app so it was like the multimedia dock. My father asked me why I got it and I said at this price I know I'd be kicking myself later on. Of course at this point I'm still leaning how to operate it.

Yea I'm still playing around with it. I am using phonemypc on it to connect to my laptop. So far I'm liking it..

Today will be the test of the USB ports in the back. I'll start with a thumbdrive and maybe try a mouse later on.

I've been listening to music through the stereo speakers while looking at pictures or videos in my Gallery. Browsing full page websites with the firefox browser. Playing games like Angry Birds on the larger screen. Copying files, music, documents, pictures, videos to and from a thumb drive connected to the dock. E-mailing is easier having the keyboard and so is document creation. The touchpad is very responsive, but I am using a compact wireless mouse for even better navigation. If you can't think of anything to do with this, you're not trying. All your phone apps will run on the lapdock. The lapdock will charge the phone and seems to have a quite large capacity, although I can't find the spec for mAh.

My local vz store would not match online price! It was heartbreaking cause i was holding lapdock in hand ready to purchase. They said to buy it online. Stupid jerk faces! Guess I'll buy it online and have to wait for it.

The authorized retailers aren't held to the same pricing as true VZW stores which I think a lot of people are finding out.

I guess that's true. I thought they were true vzw store. I have given this store in particular hundreds of dollars over the years. One would think they would cut me a break. Wishful thinking on my part I guess.

Been kick,n it around a bit this morning. Couple of observations/comments:
1.) Tried using Splashtop Remote, had some challenges. I am using a wireless mouse. The cursor moved but click the mouse had not effect (also used the touch pad on the lapdock, same thing). Anyone using SplashTop Remote or any other remote desktop app successfully with the lapdock?

2.) Slingbox: Seems to struggle buffering enough data to keep up when viewing full-screen, okay when I resize the screen a bit smaller. Wireless seems to be okay speedwise.

3.) Netflix: All seems okay. Works great, even in full-screen mode

4.) Would be great to get Webtop 3.0 :icon_ lala:

5.) Anyone figure out how to get a screenshot of the webtop on lapdock? Just wanna know cuz that would be cool!

6.) Wanna test bluetooth if I can find my dang MotoRokr headset.

7.) Anyone know how to disable the touchpad mouse thingy? I prefer to use the wireless mouse... keep dragging my hands over it when using the keyboards and it does bad stuff.

8.) Very well worth the $50 dollars. Gives me something to do while waiting for ICS dancedroid

9.) Curious to hear what other cool things folks are doing.
