Yeh, I just have a gut feeling it will look nothing like the co called leaked pics. I think it may look more like the CES unit or all together different than anything we have seen. I cannot help it.
For a company to roll out a flagship handset that looks like an over sized Droid1, or even like an already released DX2 is hard for me to fathom.
They know consumers don't want a Corvette that looks like a Camaro.
We shall see.
I like the wait because it gives me time to save my cash up for a possible out of contract purchase option. Before I would go that route I would have to let some trials and reviews "by others" happen first.

With the way moto has been lately... they'll give us a release date two weeks after they release the device.
That is what I was thinking. My sister and bro in-law need an update but I told them to wait. I have yet to see a release date.

If your VZ guy is James that works at the Verizon Kiosk at your local mall... its worth 0. I cant see them dropping the bionic before the D3.

Any one think the bionic will get pre media coverage before hand or will they announce it the the day before?

As an alleged flagship phone they should tease it in the media pre-release... Hell, they SHOULD be offering pre-orders like they did the D1... but then again this is moto... and long gone are the times of the D1 so who knows = )

I bet you it just shows up one day in the store.
This information has been confirmed by by DaBlackMamba on AC Forums He works for Best Buy Mobile starting to get Training on the D3 and The Bionic.
I posted some of the Paperwork he got Here.
This is what the Verizon Rep Showed him about the Bionic so far.
He has a photo which has his Job ID water marked all over it so he can not show the pictures as of yet but what he has said is that the lated pictures that have been posted is the phone Basically. He has been answering questions about the phone.
Looks like:
omap 4440
unlockable/unlockable bootloader ( hers came out of the box unlocked)
1gb ddr2
$299 with Contract
$799 Retail.
Take this for what it is worth!!!
