[ROM] BlackICE toro kangorade 40 (6-30)

:welcome:

Welcome Camdendav! Don't be shy here and ask away if you need. Most would say use the search feature but honestly, it pulls up so much randomness half.the time. There are great guides here though, and since you've rooted and got BlackAwesomeness running, I wouldn't say you are so much the newb anymore. How about apprentice? :)

We (well these forums) also has a dedicated site so we don't have to bump shoulders with the Maxx people (j/k everyone :) ) at Galaxy Nexus Forum

What phone (if any) did you come.from before getting your Nexus? And what kinda mods/goals do you want out of your phone? I'm nosy :) Lol nah, it helps in pointing you to.the right threads/apps/kernels/ etc.

Well thanks! Pretty random, and uninspiring storyI remember a few years back I got the LG Dare and thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread...since then, I've had a fascination with the latest technology out there. My latest phone I had was the Droid X. I thought it was a great phone, but just found Motorola/Motoblur extremely boring. I was sure I was going to get the Droid Razr Maxx but it was out of stock and ended up playing with the Galaxy Nexus...fell in love/became obsessed/whatever you want to call it. I had no idea rooting even existed until I got the phone. Since then, half my day at work is dedicated to lurking on these forums. I guess I'm still trying to figure out what I like out of a phone...so I'll still consider myself a newb until I can talk the lingo and actually know what you all are talking about :)

Best part is, if you are ever not sure just ask. Someone is going to be around with an answer

Wouldn't it.be.ironic if.AM your boss?

Edit: Trav, just got it installed and running and it's definitely a good change. It was smooth before but now it's just ... well like butter. Maybe it Faux's kernel as I've been using Imoseyon's since day one. I guess I should go look at the github log and see what changed.

Small issue so far...setting custom colors from within BlackIce Settings (lock screen text, etc) causes a force close. Can anyone confirm?

If you like that, try Imoseyon's nightly builds. They go up to 1650MHz. Well 16something lol.

Travp, or anybody who might know... Where are the color values stored at so I might change them manually until the new color picker dialog is fixed? I looked in /data/data in the BlaceIce Settings but just saw the XML with the current settings but the colors weren't there.

Edit; Weird, I cleared out dalvik cache and fixed permissions, and now the other color.dialog is back but clicking Set doesn't change anything (at least the nav bar soft keys, I haven't tried the rest yet.) But the fact that the dialog changed is odd being as I wiped before installing.

Another edit: Lol, I'm an idiot. I didn't wipe data since I was already on BlackICE. Just went in and deleted the BlackICE.control folder from /data/data, rebooted and cleared cache and bam...perfect. You rock

BTW, loving the ROM and the customization is insane!

Edit: Does anyone know why pictures uploaded via the DroidForums app sometimes come out terrible like below?

gmail problem

Having an issue with gmail not getting push notifications. It won't tell me I have an email until I open gmail and force it to refresh.

Installed from clean wipe, installed stock gapps, rebooted, installed blackice gapps.

Everything's running perfect. Lovin this rom been using it since i rooted my nexus. only thing i noticed is on the locksreen when i dont play music the wallpaper shows but when i do listen to music it stays black (im usin nova launcher and typically the horizontal lockscreen)

Looks great and runs great. The only issue I have is my purchases no longer show up in the market. Any ideas? I can go in and search for the apps and then install, but the My Apps section of the Play Store doesn't show any of my past purchases.

The play store has been finicky for me (on multiple ROMs). Try rebooting your phone, that seems to clear up most of them for me.

Finally got Urban's WeatherMod working. Now, if I can just figure out why half the time when plugged into the AC it's actually charging as if connnected via USB to the computer and I never notice until my battery keeps draining. Gonna debug in case anybody else is having this issue. It only started happening after flashing 31, so it could be Faux's kernel acting up with Fast Charge and getting confused as.to what the phone is connected to? Dunno, I'll figure it out.

By the way...I'm gonna say it again. This is my favorite ROM to date.

Edit; It's not the issue where it just isn't charging when plugged in, and this charger is the stock Nexus one that came with the phone and up to spec. (The charger sent to me when I had to get a replacement isn't up to specs though so that one always charges in USB mode... Sometimes just unplugging the cable and replugging works. Other times I have to pull the battery. It's annoying but apparently another Nexus issue.
