ok, I got it, thank you
Your tie to Best Buy is that they will have their own terms (typically 6 months for these third party sellers). For Amazon, who I bought my Pro from, their "terms" state that you have to keep the line active for six months (181 days). If you are a single line when you activate, you can't move it to a secondary.
If you're ALREADY a secondary, you can activate as a secondary with no problem.
I don't know about Best Buy.
@Jvandyke:
Do you mean can they bill the phone to your account? the answer to that is going to be no.
Dang!!! I always bill phones to by account @ the Verizon stores that way I have time to sell my old device. Thus it's a trade off and my new phones are free in the long run.

ok, so I'm still kidna confused about the billing....I'm on my dad's acct, he's the primary number, but I'm the only one that's going to upgrade to a smartphone, If I were to get it at BB, does that present any type of difference than if I were to just get it at the vzn store? Meaning like can he still pay our cell phone bill through verizon.com?
sweet, thanksYou can get your phone at BB then go to Verizon and get them to apply the discount. That's how I did mine.
