With 680 hp in my firebird formula I could roast anything(tires) hard a hard time hooking up even with fully adjustable spherical link suspension.... Including on the interstate.. Just floor it..so I can imagine..I think that mustang is probably 600lbs lighter..but I've never owned a Shelby.. So..now its in my hunt..I've had several opportunities.. But haven't squeezed the trigger..
I wouldn't think a 2000 and a 2008 should be that far from each other. But idk..like I said..I'm not a ford guy..wouldn't take much to learn them though..
Just looked...it looks like a arms in the back for the mustang...and for the f body, a torque arm, and lower control arms, with coils and shocks.. Nothing revolutionary about either one .
220 is enough for some people.. Usually in smaller lighter cars..my Silverado is pushing about 400 and 450 lbs ft of torque..but in a 4500 lbs vehicle..it leaves something to be desired..6-700 hp in a mustang or a 4th gen f body is a lot to put down(and stay streetable and so almost anyone can handle the car)..these new 5th gen camaros feel like a low truck except tighter suspension.. To me but handle lots of hp well because of the weight...
