No dice..I'm wondering if the CM ROM. from rom manager is the most up to date?

it most likely is, but i always download from source and install in recovery myself anyways, its a good habit to avoid double guessing myself.

Or you could do a nightly, but, heh, I don't like seeing blood coming from my phone.

not a single fc from CM6 in the past 2 days. first time Cm user, and i did a full wipe before.

one thing that is odd that i've noticed is that memory usage between CM6 and sapphire is totally different. the non-killable apps and JIT jump to about 90+mb of usage almost immediately after a reboot. but after 2 days, still seems rock solid. on the other hand, sapphire would start at about 50mb, and after 4 days would be at 90mb, and then everything would stop working...

Settings> Wireless and Networks> Mobile Networks> Data Enabled.

If that's checked, try loading the power widget and make sure the option with the up/down arrows is turned on.

If you still don't have service there's a problem. (But you knew that)

i finally got it working with a slayher kernel. had to apply the "fix" and then still do a startup script hack...

i have to say, slight battery issues aside, slayhers kernels are incredibly responsive... never seen my droid fly like this.

I set the governor to interactive and then on sleep the profile switches it to ondemmand to save battery... seems to help a bit.

I had to go back to RC3 because the Bluetooth dialing is broken on this release. I will wait for the next update to see if it is working again.
