Considering switching to iPhone

Did you do factory reset that seems to help a lot of people. Froyo is good to go back to if nothing else works. Just don't give up on android. There are a lot of good phones to choose from that are not on gb.

I flashed back to froyo and rooted again using z4root and put liberty rom on(again) and now am very happy with my DX. I will sit back now and see what phones the future brings

Sorry gb didn't work for you but glad your happy again. Its weird how gb effects phone differently. Some work and some don't. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Get an iphone... if you cant figure out how to make a phone work, that works for hundreds of thousands of people, then you probably do require a phone than required no thinking.

Wow dude harsh. The dude is having issues with gb and there is nothing that has worked for him and it sounds like he knows how to fix his phone. But what would you do if you had issues with gb and nothing worked for you.

I would go back to official software, and tweak from there. The GB for the X is a leak. I doubt that he would have to send back 5 phones if he would stick to official software...

But you know what? Atleast I know who to thank when my bill and phone prices go up due to him returning 5 after incorrectly tweaking his phone.

I don't know when you crawled out from under your rock, but if you haven't noticed, there are tons of people having issues with the stock ROM. More than the people who have used the leaks. So to tell him to use the crappy stock ROM plagued with issues and to shut it because that should be good enough is pretty messed up. My first DROID X was messed up from the Froyo OTA. Should I not have returned it when I couldn't even use it the first day I activated it?

Your bill goes up because of people using 30 gigs a month tethering and Verizon's overall greediness.

So he just has to live with it a phone that does not work. To a point I agree staying on stock gb is the best thing to do because I believe being on the official firmware is better then roms and rooting especially if you need to take it back. More you mess with it it might bite back. He has a right to have a phone that works the way he wants. He has a right to take it back if the official update messed up his phone. But then again he did mess with it to.

Some advice for you. Do NOT make a post like this or your tenure on this board will be short lived. This is completely unacceptable. Grow up or move on.

I have an iPhone and i love it. I enjoy android but it is not as smooth or reliable as iOS. I've never had an issue with reboots or freezes with the old 3g or the new iPhone4...

They are great devices, but you can't be surprised by animosity on an android forum.

This.
If your thinking about an iphone id suggest not getting the 3gs. My girlfriend has one and its messed up on her quite alot. she's had 3 of them replaced already. This one seems to be doing better but we will see.

Very good point. But if you're with Verizon, it will be the iPhone 4 anyway. The iPhone 4 is very solid. Best of the iterations.

If you like your Android even a little bit I wouldn't suggest an iPhone. I had an iPhone 4 for a year...got sick of it. Switched to Verizon and bought a Droid X from Craigslist, liked it so much I upgraded to the X2. I use my X2 twice as much as I used the iPhone. They are just as problematic as any droid(a co-worker is on his third iPhone 4, 1 in 8 are prone to glitches or failure) AND the screen is just plain too small, not too mention anything you do with an iPhone 4 you do it Steve Job's way, or no way at all and iTunes becomes less intuitive with every new update.

If you are business user keep in mind the latest cancer studies listing the Droid X among the highest risk. Reason: great radio, the only phone that will work 8 ft. underground among 4 concrete walls!!!

My partner used an iPhone and switched to the Droid just so he can get calls at the farm. I told him to get the 20 ft. Yagi with dual amps on the barn but he's not technically inclined.

I use mine with BT so radiation not a concern, besides i lived 250 miles from Chernobyl when it blew up, a little nosebleed at the time, WTF, Darwin was right, what don't kill you makes you....:)

FYI, love my iPad, iPhone 5G coming out August-ish, if history repeats they will be available fro a few months 1/2 price straight off the assembly lines via the Hong Kong connection, unless FoxConn (Apple's assembler) terminates a few more "stressed out" employees via the rooftop procedure.
