Cyanogen mod on DX-will it hit D2G in the future?

Some as started the port of over onto Droid 2 i saw it on twitter today

Yea, after the 2 projects im working on (update to my rom and release of another) then im going to look into porting it to d2g. Hopefully we can get lucky and its not too hard to do lol

I suppose I shouldn't get my hopes up.. But considering the Droid lineups are some of Motorola's most well known phones, it just seems like they would try to open those up. It would be nice since you can't change out the kernels with 2nd init. But at least we can get CMOD!

I can. Last I did was a private build of GEM Saphire (2.2.1) that didn't have 3G, though the problem was that the CDMA radio was tied to the Blur Dialer in Froyo (2.2).

I presume all you're missing is the 2.3 cmda/gsm coding for the radio then, for CM?

Worst we can do is just do a system dump of the whole phone once gb is rooted, and also yank the update file from the phone, and there ya have it.

great job!!! at least you showed that its possible, now all you need to do is work out the bugs, try flashing the rommer tool and see if that fixes anything. i will try to give everybody some nice bakery goodness when the update starts rolling out
