CyanogenMod 5.0.7 for Droid on ROM Manager

So three questions:

Will I be able to wi-fi tether with this ROM (I know I might have to install the wireless tether APK)?

Will I be able to use a BeKit overclocked kernel?

What are the advantages of this ROM over other ROMs such as Bugless Beast?

-Mike

just get wireless tether from the market.

any kernel in rom manager will work(bekit included)

better? that's subjective... not gonna get into that!

Oh, I know that the wireless.apk is in the market; I was just more concerned about what omni-tethering was.

edit: ah, someone kinda already explained what it was

Great ROM, installed using ROM Manager with no problems... Enjoying the update

Did a wipe and then installed Titanium Backup to retrieve all my apps with data. No issues what so ever

Thanks for the hard work on this one...

Ok...

Are there any "differences"/"reasons" why I would use this ROM over Bugless Beast?

I really don't like getting into this "which is better" debate.

CM has some tweaks that are not present/possible in other roms. song skip vial volume long press is one.

if you need me to convince you to use it, don't use it. if you wanna try, go for it.

Is this ROM like BB in which is governs the cpu speed itself, or will I need to use SetCpu?

Also, has nextheme been made to work with it? or will nextheme from 5.0.6.7 work?

a.) you need SetCPU

b.) themes won't work with it yet, unless the theme dev specifically releases something they claim is for 5.0.7

Thank you! I may try it but I have grown to love self governing ROMS and nextheme...

i downloaded the one from the xda site and try to install the wireless tether app and every time i go to install it says " Application not installed" and i just tried the one on the android market and when i try to install it goes through just like the other one i got and says "Installation Error - Incompatible update". I hope this gets fixed
