[ROM] CyanogenMod 9 [BETA] (DX) (8/19)

My phone has a trippy, 60's music video thing going on while charging and powered down.

It affects nothing as far as I can tell, but I just thought that might be good info for the dev. If someone's posted this already, I'm sorry to say I didn't read the full thread. The search tool here isn't as robust as I'm accustomed to and I thought it couldn't hurt.

i've experienced force closes when i was viewing widgets in the drawer ... now my phone rebooted and i'm stuck @ the M logo ....

i have bootstrap recovery on my phone, how can i boot into it to restore from backup ?

Nm I didn't see you say you were stuck at the m. I've heard try to get into stock recovery and wipe cache and maybe data and see if it'll boot then. If not sbf probably

dont know thats beyond me

it may be possible that i cannot sbf back to 602. i've had 605, cm 7.1, then i tried cm9 .... so not sure if i can fix what's going on ....
if anyone knows what to do, please advise, otherwise i'm going to have to get another device

the phone is bricked .... fortunately, it is under warranty and i am getting a replacement on tuesday.

the cyanogenmod experience wasn't bad, but between 7.1, 9, 602, 605, 621 and sbfing, i think i'm not going to go down that route again because i'm not willing to spend the prices of a new smartphone because i bricked a phone. even a new X2 costs more than $ 400 ... ridiculous.

correct me if I am wrong but I don't believe they will cover you under warranty if you bricked it. I have not seen a phone that ctoukdnt be unbricked. Did you try the Linux boot CD way of sbfing

i went to an official verizon wireless store and handed them the phone, as it was with the bootloader coming up during powerup, i also told them that i bricked it. they set up the replacement to be sent out.

i didn't try the linux cd method, how does it differ from RSD lite 5.6 ?

not sure exactly. But Rsd did not work for me either when I bricked mine. The linux method worked like a charm

i did try the 621 update, then went back to cm7.1 ... so after loading up 621, it's not possible to sbf to 602, at least thats what im gathering from reading around

After getting on 621... How'd you go back to cm7?

"I'll get you my little pretty... And your little dog todo too"
"I don't even have a little dog todo"

That doesn't make sense to me. When you sbf your making your phone like it was out of the box. I would try it. What can it hurt?
