The only difference I noticed was under About Phone, where it said my phone was a Droid 2. Everything else seemed to work just fine. And you are correct, I did not wipe data/factory restore.
Just flashed the one found in the more builds link. The one labeled 2-28-12 I think it is the same as the link labeled for the D2. I say this because I checked my computer where I have the downloaded file of the original build I downloaded using the D2 link. It is labeled as CM9 DX. At any rate. No harm done.
Good to hear, didn't hear from you so i was wondering what happened. Since your completely stock now you might get a message for the latest 4.5.621 update (don't take it)
yeah... I took the phone home last night to do the flash, but the battery was dead. I had to wait until work this morning to borrow someone else's charged battery.
this is a perfect example of why the android system is so much better than the iOS products.
I know it says charge-only won't work, but mine behaves differently. It stays in charge-only, and shows a shimmering yellow screen, seems like the yellow layer of the boot animation. Then the battery meter flashes in the background. Thought the difference was noteworthy.
...Is there any difference between the D2 and DX one?...

On my Droid X, with that Droid 2 ROM, the screen rotation was broken - stuck on portrait. Switching to the DX version (at the 'older' link) fixed that for me and it works as expected.
I also have the BT issue, but aside from that this is FANTASTIC. I am shocked (in a good way) about how stable it is. Really excellent work here. Thanks!
Sorry in advance if this has been asked but is there a working overclocking method for this rom yet? I haven't found anything that works yet. Thanks. AWESOME rom btw! It's my daily driver, I love it!
