[ROM] CyanogenMod 9 [BETA] (DX) (8/19)

Fix MMS for ALL carriers!

Hey all, found a fix for MMS! You need to unzip these, change the permissons to rw-r--r--, and place them in the /etc/ folder with something like Root Explorer! Enjoy! I have my nTelos MMS issue fixed! dancedroidwoot woot DancingNexus

With regional carriers, mms wasn't working. This is a fix for those companies. I know that VZW mms was working since it's meant for the droid x, but for the milestone x, mms wasn't working.

It is not working for me and I'm on Verizon..

Update:
I followed your instructions and wrote all those files to etc. I still only get the mms and it will say download. I hit download and it just sits at downloading for a while then back to download.

Sbf to .602 but make sure you wipe data in stock recovery after you sbf.

I can't help with the MMS issues

X

Sorry for multiple post, didn't see this. I did sbf back to .602, but I guess I didn't do the Wipe Data in stock recovery. Will have to try that out.
Thanks

I followed the instructions and after the boot logo, the screen goes black and stays there. cannot seem to get back into clockwork recovery either.
please help

What were you on before trying to install this and what steps did you use to install cm9? Did you use droid2 bootstrap.
If your using droidx bootstrap go in settings > applications > development and make sure usb debugging is unchecked before using it.

Ok. Can you explain the steps you took going from encouter ics to this rom. Also did you download the rom from the op in this thread? Like Alpe noticed the link is not for droidx.
Edit... The first link is for the D2. The link for droidx is under the gapps links.

You can try booting in stock recovery and wipe data /factory reset and wipe cache partition and see where that gets you. To do that pull out your battery and put it back in then press your home button first and hold it in then press your power button and hold both buttons in till you see a triangle on the screen. Next press both volume buttons in at the same time. That will get you in recovery then scroll down with your volume button to wipe data /factory reset and select it with your power button. Next wipe cache partition then select reboot system. If that doesn't work you may need to sbf and root your phone again. You can use the 602 root iso in this link to sbf and root http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/d...-solution-your-windows-rsd-lite-problems.html there's a video in that link to show you how if you've never sbf'd before.

I had the encounter ICS ROM installed. I am still very new to this whole ROM process
Yeah, when I had Encounter on mine, I had to SBF back down. This is a gingerbread base rom, encounter from what I took it was straight ICS... correct me if I'm wrong. It also changed the recovery console to something nasty, which has a lot to do with the flashing process, therefore causing issues.
