I am finding this thread interesting.

After getting the OTR 621 (2.3.4) update and losing root,
I am on Milestone X 604 (2I 3.5) with root - everything seems to be working ok.

I am considering trying this CM9, but will probably wait for it to become more stable.
I don't want to update every day, nor every week.

Good luck with that with any cm based rom. There are way too many changes that take place in the main cm tree to not atleast do weekly builds. Nothing is making you flash the newest build though.

And to add to what Angel said it only takes 5 minutes to install an update. You don't have to wipe data so it's not like you have to redo everything. It's quick and simple.

I used the exchange email app and for some reason it deleted everything off my SD card and phone... I tried it again to see what would happen and it did it again.. So now I am stuck on this rom unless i SBF or flash .605... A little frustrating since there goes my titanium backups too and ROM manager back ups
