CyanogenMod for Droid 5.0.5.7

I came from rooted 2.0.1 to CM .7. I never had .4, I just installed it to see if wi-fi would work.

In that case, you MUST WIPE. Try wiping clean and reinstalling. You shouldn't have any issues then.

Upgrade for ROM's? What version are you using? CM 5.0.5.7 is the most current stable version.

No, I'm running 5.0.5.7. When I go into rom manager and then try to go into download roms it tells me I must upgrade to the latest version of rom manager. I just want the themes and add ons

Did you uninstall and then reinstall Rom Manager? Do you have the premium version?

Yes to both questions.

Just switched from DroidMod 1.0 to the latest version of this ROM. At first I thought it had some downsides to it until I noticed all the hidden settings.

This ROM is absolutely AMAZING!!!

My hat goes off to all of you guys. You guys have truly put some real thought into this ROM and have developed a great product.

Just wanted to say THANKS!!!

Yea, this is the only rom out that I have found that truly shows off rooting. Every other rom out there is basically just a tool that allows you to overclock and change the launcher...this does so much more with hidden features here and there that really let you customize the phone.

Good work..can't wait for the next installment.

So I just noticed something and I've looked all over to see if its something in the settings but I couldn't find anything.

My lock/sleep button won't lock or put my phone to sleep anymore. I just basically have to wait for the screen to time out. It works if I long press and it gives me the usual shutdown/reboot options like it should, but it just won't do anything anymore on a single click.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

EDIT:

Never mind...did a quick Google search and it was one of the options in the Spare Parts app for the "End Button Behavior" that I was messing with last night and set it to "Nothing". Switched it back to "Sleep" and all is good now. :)

So does this build support gif animation in the browser like the N1?
Also if that's the case is anyone working on a way foranimated gifs to be supported via mms?

important question

I'm running Cyanogen 5.0.5 and I have heard that if I use ROM Manager to get 5.0.5.7 it will keep all my settings and data?!

If you upgrade to .7 and do not click wipe data it will indeed save settings and data!

Very good news! Thank you! As well, is it worth upgrading from 5.0.5?

I'm trying out CyanogenMod for the first time this afternoon. I installed version 5.0.5.7 and everything is smooth so far. Not one FC during the whole setup. That is a first! I always get at least 2 or 3 minimum.

I was expecting a larger choice of launchers though. It booted with the "Home" and "Launcher" option only. I was thinking it would have Helix.

It looks like the the clock is set to 600 max. What are the recommended kernals to use CM?

I see some theme options in RM. Is there a link to some screenshots so I can check them out before I install them?

Thanks,
Mike

Certainly, get Helix from the market....and also Ruqqq's Helix2 .7 Beta2 from his site works and *I think* is now public beta.

The ROM now comes with bekit's "stock" kernel. You can apply whichever speed/voltage you prefer through Rom Manager. There are kernels by Bekit in 3 voltages and kernels by P3Droid. I personally use Bekits LV 800 mhz 7 slot kernel with great results

You can see all the themes for CM on the CM Forum in the Themes section
