I suggest you do not install using rom manager. It will very likely lead you to issues. Trust me- the Dev's instructions are the best way to install. If you follow the OP, you will be fine:
-Make sure your system version is either 2.3.32 or 2.3.34
-bootstrap recovery
-mount system
-wipe data/factory reset
-install zip from sdcard
-choose zip from sdcard
-choose DarkSlide
-install
-reboot
-ENJOY
Btw- the reason Rom Manager reboots you normally rather than rebooting you into Clockwork is that it isn't designed around the locked bootloader. In order for it to perform actions requiring Clockwork Recovery, you must first open Droid X Bootstrapper, select the first option (bootstrap recovery) and then back out and open rom manager. Again, I suggest you follow the posted instructions rather than using rom manager...

I will be heading back to the darkslide later today. I have been running gummyjar for almost 4 days and the battery life doesnt come close. Plus i miss my dark theme and the little extra detail that make this the best rom! Love it! Cant wait to do my first restore and enjoy my phone once again. Thank you so much for such a flawless and beautiful rom!

HAHA same here man i tried gummyjar for like 2 days.It was a little slower then darkslide but the battery life was horrible %50 in 8 hours doing hardly nothing and this is on a extended battery.Darkslide has much much better battery performance.
Try the blur version...you should find the news & weather is present there

I'm really liking this rom. I came over from several months on Rubix 1.9 and I'm hoping for better battery life. So far I love the transitions and themeing!
