Ext battery, twitter and fb sync 30 minute sync, wifi and gps on all the time, beautiful widgets with 30 minute sync, lots of text and surf.


For my X, this rom works. The stock theme and transitions are great. No fc with battery manager. Just overall very pleased with this rom.

I've recently noticed when trying to add a custom shortcut made with better cut that it won't place it on my 91 panda launcher screen and instead places it on the other two included with this rom. Any suggestions?

Reported battery life is really making me want to switch to this rom from Tranquility. I have to plug in like 3 times a day although the rom itself absolutely rocks.

This rom does rock very much! and battery life is very very good just keep in mind, battery life depends on usage too, and battery type...I don’t use extended battery myself...but i'm considering it...LOL

Just as Townsend reports above, use, battery and setup is a factor too.

So keep that in mind right before you finally give yourself to the Darkslide

Battery life for me improved dramatically, based on minimal usage days:

With stock 340, battery lasted about 36 hours with basic texting, maybe a call or two.

On Darkslide, I was still at 30%-40% at 48 hours with the same minimal usage.

YMMV - but it improved for me.

Well I just got about 24 hours out of Tranquility and it was still sitting at 40% so I dunno. I did recently clear my battery stats after a full charge so maybe it is finally "learning" itself or some such. I'm good tho, I plug in every night so if I can get 18 hours with moderate usage then its more than fine. Going to keep going with Tranquility for a bit, plus if I want DarkSlide I can just hot theme it via the toolbox to look exactly like DS.

Interestingly enough, looks like BBcrackman and Gates are coming out with an updated version soon; they're always working on making this ROM better. It's already the best I've found, and the only one I've kept more than a week... and have no plans on changing soon. Flawless and getting better and better... that's a combo I can live with ;-)

How do you guys get like 24+ hours of use. The rom has increased my battery life but only to around 18hours. What if amy applications do you guys have running and what are some settings used?

I have everything I don't use frozen with TBU. Anything Amazon, BB, News/Weather widget, G-maps, Music, Media Share, 3G hotspot and anything else I don't use all the time. Oh, and that awful game and bloatware (Madden).

I don't Overclock, THERE IS NO NEED FOR IT, none. I will get sacrificed for saying so, but I don't know what the big deal is w/OC'ing.

The only widgets I have running is Agenda Widget, Beautiful Widget, Power widget and picture widget.

I surf web, make calls, text, play angry birds, download, modify and have my face in forums constantly.

When I posted pics on my batt. life I made sure everyone knew I'm using the extended battery (BH6X 1930) from Verizon.

My brightness is set at 10% and I see it very clearly.

See? That how I roll

Chkmate is right...no need at all for overclocking. the Droid X with this rom runs very quickly and very smoothly...by overclocking you are just draining your battery life.

Also, yes, I am with you on the apps thing--I remove any apps I'm not using via Root Explorer. #1 is, remove any launcher you aren't using, they do still take resources, even when you're not using them. I remove apps such as Blur Alarm, VVM, Calculator...umm, I forget the exact list, but I have it written down somewhere... either way, if you don't use it and you won't be using it, why have it sucking your resources? and why keep it around just taking up space if you aren't using it?
