Do we have a little secret?

I dislike my Rezound, because I can't talk with an ear bluetooth!!!!!!!!!!! Everytime I have to call someone, while driving a semi, I have to pull over and hold the phone. I could be fined $2,100.00 dollars if caught holding a phone in a commercial vehicle, while driving!!!!!!!!! I hope, if ICS ever comes out, it fixes this problem. Most people tell me I cut in and out and it crackles,I have tried different bluetooth devices and it makes no difference. This phone sucks for that reason!!!!!!!!

Please elaborate. I strongly disagree with your opinion...

I never had any problems with my BT either before or after the ics leak.

Have you tried this one?

One of the things I really enjoy about my Rezound is the lack of popularity. Once Verizon was giving the Inc 1 away for free it became much more popular around my area and I lost the enjoyment of the individuality. I still have yet to see another Rezound being used when out and about.

A Rezound phone was used for this Tapatalk post

Well I have a 2001.5 Dodge diesel pickup and my Jabra Cruiser 2 worked perfect with my OG Droid. People said that they could not hear the noisy truck at all. Got the Rezound and it does exactly what this truck driver is saying. I have been waiting to see if ICS fixes it.

So two faults. Bluetooth and bright sun.

It's the phone! No, it's the BT device. No, it's the phone! No, it's the BT device. Or maybe the operator? All the fingerprinting gets us nowhere. If some BT devices work fine for some on the Rezound, how can one be so friggin sure it's the fault of the Rezound when various other BT devices don't work properly?

I dunno, I use a BT FM transmitter to talk through my cars speakers, not even the headset piece, and I speak at normal volume on the highway with all the windows down and they could hear me crystal clear. I believe BT is designed to cancel out background noise. So it sounds like a faulty phone. Call VZ and see what they say?

Do a Google search on "Rezound Bluetooth" and there are many discussions in various forums on problems folks are having with all types of BT devices on the Rezound.
UPDATE: In an effort to shed some light on this issue, I did an experiment. I never used a BT device with my Rezound, but my wife just yesterday got an inexpensive BT headset (Emerson, $18) from WalMart to use with her Droid2. It is a BT headset that can be paired with two devices. She has been using it all morning without any issues. Good sound in both directions. I paired it with my Rezound and made a test call to her Droid2. She sounded clear on my Rezound, but she said my voice was choppy. I held the Rezound within 12 inches of the BT headset, and no improvement. So I then turned the BT off on my Rezound, and re-enabled the BT on her Droid2. Another test call and the voice quality in both directions was very clear.
It appears from this little test using the same inexpensive BT headset, that there is indeed a problem with linking a BT headset to the Rezound.

I have called HTC before and they said I could send it in for a replacement phone, but reading other people with the same problem on the Internet, I have been waiting for ICS to see if anything changed. My phone works great, no issues at all, except for the blue tooth, and it's very irritating. It's not background noise it's the choppy breaking up that is happening. I would hate to get a replacement that has other issues. I don't want a blue parrot style head set, even if it worked. I shouldn't have to buy a specific BT just for it to be usable.
Edit: I have tried 3 different BT devices, if someone has one that works with theirs, let me know which one and I'll try it, just not the Blue Parrot.

That what I said! Worked crystal clear on OG. CHOPPY to others on the Rezound. The cruiser 2 uses sound cancelling mics and I was really happy on the way to Arizona in the fall. Bought the Rezound the end of Feb and gave up on BT for now.

I use a Plantronics Explorer 390. Not the most expensive one in the world but so far it's worked great on my Dinc 2 and my RZ. I'm just not crazy about the way it fits on my ear but I deal with it.

I had the same problem with various Bluetooth devices. A few weeks ago I got a jawbone icon and I love it. Sounds great to me and people hear me fine - can't tell I'm on Bluetooth.
