Hello all,
Answers to many questions in this thread...
* Seeing only black while viewing a video. This is caused by the video player's interaction with your video card--there are threads here where we describe this. Turn off Hardware Acceleration on the video player software.
* Updates. It turned out that most of our [serious] bug reports had come from keyboard use, and we were able to reproduce them all:
--PC app freezing while typing, and until reset (this is the worst of the worst type of bug)
--RDP sessions not working on a controlled PC (this is a show-stopper for IT and other professionals)
These were fixable, but required a complete rewrite to how we send keystrokes and process them on the PC. In addition, we have to pay great care not to do something device specific along the way.
We, as a group are fabulous at engineering and technical work. It appears we have a lot to learn when it comes to making predictions and estimating timelines.
Last, work on Imagine Multi-touch does not impact work on PhoneMyPC. Completely different skill sets are involved, and different people. You're still right about the eggs though
@coondogg... tell us the name (not email) on your Google Checkout account, or forward us your purchase receipt, and we'll cancel your order. If you will also tell us what feature(s) must be done before you want the product, we'll email you when we get there. There is a certain amount of risk when you buy an app; some day, you'll stop using it and your money will be gone. But, if you decide you don't want something you bought from us, within a reasonable period of time (days, at least), just let us know. We'd like you to pay a fair price for great software, not buyers remorse
* PhoneMyPC compared to LogMeIn
Customers mostly report that PhoneMyPC is superior to LogMeIn Ignition on the iPhone; out of about 10 who've given us a comparison, 9 of them have preferred PhoneMyPC.
PhoneMyPC has more features, but it's also newer and less developed.
* Accessing a sleeping laptop
I am not aware of any laptop that will keep the CPU on when the lid is closed; generally, only some part of RAM is preserved to avoid a re-boot when you wake it.
Back to work with me... I have a release to get out, after all!
