I actually went in and deleted the Facebook app off my phone and then restarted the phone and so far I've had no issues with the phone completely dropping 4g and leaving just the bars and the wifi is doing good as well.

I had the issue about a month or so ago, they sent a replacement phone which had the same issues (and was otherwise buggy), they ran a ticket for it which concluded that there were no network issues in my area. They authorized a SECOND replacement phone, which I'll be receiving tomorrow. Pretty interesting...I've also had pictures deleted or corrupted on my sd card during this time. Sounds like a virus, but I just ran avast and no issues.
I have been having a problem for a while and it has gotten a lot worse over the past week. I did a factory reset and it seemed to be fine. (As long as I was streaming, my 4G connection would stay active. If it was sitting idle it would drain 40% an hour, and I could not get it to go into 3G mode.) I installed Facebook and I started loosing 4G again.
Verizon reported that there were no issues with their service. I set my phone beside another Thunderbolt and the other phone never lot connection. Not sure if it has Facebook or not.
I have complained to verizon several times about my 4g dropping and having no signal and then last night when i called i told them i was going to get a iphone. She insisted that i try one more thing. She has suggested that i turn 4g off and try with only 3g. I never got a chance to ask her what if it works on 3g & not 4g. Anyways she is supposed to call me back on monday with im sure no real solution since there is not a phone out there that may work! Ugh! Maybe it is time for a iphone.
So it's been several days with ICS and I have had only 2 or 3 drops. Happened during downloads on the Google Play then picked back up a couple seconds later. The severity has dropped a lot so this is a good sign.

Hello and welcome to the forum Brandon. What the cs is doing is having you turn off the 4g because the issue with the data drops is an issue with the network reaching out to the device, and the device not being able to register with the tower/network correctly.
While this is a band-aid, the issue has been made better only to be made worse again. Keep this in mind.
