Howdy Folks.

Name is Corey. Long Time lurker (about 2 years) first time joiner. Started with a Droid 2, after 3 replacements I switched to the X and got my first taste of ROMs and Rooting.

After a year and a half, 5 ROMs, and a perfect original screen I jumped to the Razr Maxx This morning. Already Rooted, replaced the gallery and froze the bloatware.

Hi,.. i just entered this community and very pleased to meet others with motorola droid 3 phone.

i live in Venezuela, where my phone (Droid 3) is not sold, but i bought it used on ebay, then unlocked, and rooted!

I really like my phone! Is like a personal computer indeed.

My phone came with damaged backlight on the keyboard so i cant use it at night!, and the screen outter frame with some hard scratch and damaged.

I have to buy all the repair parts and accesories on ebay or amazon, or other stores like Cell phone Repair Shop, CellularDr.com and many others but no matters cause i really like it!

Thanks for all the help i've found in this community. :icon_ lala::icon_ lala::icon_ lala:

I learn programing during the text programing days where computer was a compulsory elective. I did not major in computing but I was relatively good at it and managed to automate most of my mundane tasks involving tedious calculations. As an old timer, I still prefer to use BASIC. However as technology advances, I had to pick up VB.

I was impressed with the various apps that android base phone had to offer. I was hoping to learn programming to create more apps for myself. If my weird taste had a demand I may start marketing my apps.

Nice to meet you guys here in this community :)

Hello to all and a special shoutout to COL Dave.
We, both, have a long history with computers. COL Dave, do you recall the IBM 5280? In 1968, I ran IBM Punched Card Machines and agree with you that we have come a long way. Today we carry more processing power and data storage in our shirt pocket, than in the massive mainframe systems of the 70s.

I can tell many stories of the way things were and know that we can and must grow with today's ever improving technology.

My one question for the many experts reading here. Which forum(s) are better for learning these modern tools. I upgraded from a Motorola Droid 2 to a Droid 4, because of my fingers do not work well on the virtual keyboards.

Thank you to each of you for bravely asking questions and sharing your wisdom.
