heya i got my droid as soon as it came out a year ago. before that I had an Env2 so it was a big change. I've loved my Droid and just recently got the nerve to try ROMs. i've been running cyanogen and now i'm wanting to try more

Hi! I've had my Droid for over a year too, just thinking about rooting it... my main problem with the phone is that since the 2.2 update it is slower and the BIG problem... enter text in a text box is all F'd up. Sometimes I can't even see the text I'm entering. Is it just my phone?

New Droid X Owner

Hello group! I was quite pleased to find this site...as I upgraded from a Blackberry Storm to the Droid x about 2 weeks ago. I am still learning how to use the phone...and this site has been very helpful.

Until the iphone comes to Verizon...I will keep this phone...and maybe even not upgrade to the iphone. I really like it so far!

I do have a question for the group....I have been exploring the applications site...but there are soooo many...

Does the group have a thread of 'favorite applications'? I would sure like to know what the group likes...

Hi!

I am new to this site and hope it will help me as well as I hope I can help others. One thing I noticed is that some folks have the need to attach a signature to their work emails that are going through an exchange server. I figured out how to do that.

Another thisn that I am trying to figure out now is why the Droid uses so much battery. In April I upgraded from a Palm Treo to the Droid. It was a big step up. For a while everything was cool. I got emails, contacts and emails from work synced perfectly, and I could make calls.

From April until about two weeks ago, the phone would keep an acceptable charge for at least a day, sometimes two or even 3 days! All of a sudden, in the last two weeks this has all changed. I am not running excessive applications....sync manager, bluetooth, and google message service. The phone will not keep a charge for a full day!

I have tried everything and Verizon finally gave me a new phone...same problem! If I can't get this fixed, I might not be on this forum for long.

I read a lot of posts from other Droid users who feel it is acceptable to be charging the phone several times a day. I don't feel that it is acceptable to need to be close to a charger all the time.

If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it!

New to Droid 2 from Droid 1

Hi I'm Jen,

I just recieved a Droid 2 replacing my Droid 1. I'm a little confused about where things are now located, etc...

I keep getting an error "internal server error please try again" when I try to add my facebook account to the social network. I have my regular facebook up and running but it won't sync with that one. Where are the smiley's for text messaging? Is that now an app?
