Welcome. I recommend rooting and installing a custom ROM like Cyanogenmod 7. :)

SSX v2.0

Greetings, you people! Just registered for this site as my BB Storm2 is coming up for an "upgrade" sometime soon. As RIM offers nothing really new since the S2, I am considering a Moto X2 or maybe a Samsung... either way, most likely it will be an Android phone. The S2 has worked OK for me (although the screen is not great), but one big concern will be how to move all my (Outlook at work and a couple of Yahoo! e-mail setups) e-mail connections to a 'droid.

I will be asking a lot of questions as the process approaches and continues.

New to the Droid Experience

This is my first Droid, The Samsung Fascinate. I previously used a Blackberry Storm, but always had issues with the touch screen.

I am adjusting slowly to the Droid OS, it's a lot to learn and not as intuitive as I thought it would be. The Fascinate is great, but the screen lock sucks. You have to push a button to wake it up and then swipe the screen. To answer a call, you can't just accept the cal, but have to sweep either Answer or Ignore. It seems a bit overdone just to answer a call.

Another annoyance is the messaging. If I delete a message while reading and then go to the next message, the deleted message is still there.

Aside from those things, I do enjoy the phone.

Greetings...just switched from Blackberry Curve to Droid Charge. Like mail setup on curve much better than Droid. Like 4G speed on Droid. Learning curve for Droid is smoothing out.

Love my Droid 2 ...but waiting for...

Hello to all! I have owned a Droid since January 2010. Had the original Droid but after problems that were not resolved ended up with the Droid 2. LOVE my phone and use it for many things, texting, phone calls, games, surfing the web, police scanner, emails, etc. Even have my work schedule (Excel format) on my phone. I am waiting to upgrade my phone until the Bionic or something similar is released.
Peace

Megga Greenback

Sup all?!. I am a MEGGA Greenster when it comes to smartphones (not a computer genius either) and I just got my first one days ago!...lol.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll be doing ALOT of reading of threads and posts trying to get my learn on.

I just got a Motorola Droid 3 (Verizon). Its the one in my avatar (which I will change later) and I hope its gonna perform well for me and be fairly easy to learn *fingers crossed*.
I actually have a few days to return it if needed, but I would like to keep it.

Anyway, I look foreward to all your knowledge and input. dancedroid

Thanks, EBMB

New to the group

I've been using my DroidX for over a year now. I've not had any problems with it so far. However, I just bought a Scala Rider G4 system which allows me to connect my helmet to my DroidX so I can take/make calls, listen to music and navigation. The problem...I don't have any voice commands! I can't initiate calls by vocally commanding what I want (works for other Bluetooth devices). Also, when I receive a call, I don't the announcement and option to "Answer" or "Ignore". Anyone have any ideas? I've checked all my configuration settings with the G4 and all appears to be set correctly.
