New to droid about 1 month. I have the Incredible 2. I think I still prefer to have a tablet, but let my DH talk me into a phone. I like having a mini computer with me, but would rather have my small phone for just talking.

I may be new...but I'm not really new. lol I've been lurking on this site since May of 2010 when I purchased my Moto Droid. Poor girl is now on her last leg and I am patiently waiting the release of the Bionic! Well...not so patiently actually...but I'm trying really hard to not "waste" an upgrade.

welcome to the forum

learning more

I'm Steven 35yr old from South Louisiana. Currently a new Verizon customer due to a buy out. I have the new incredible 2. I love the phone so far, but not happy with the carrier. Wondering if it is possible to unlock and bring the phone to Att&t

Hello droiders, i'm a new owner of a Droid X and am very interested in learning how to root. I'm trying to take in all this info and make good use of it, hoping it produces great results!

Ok, I'm not much on "let me tell you about myself" post but, I had to share this one with you. I wasn't where to post this so I thought I would park it here.

I just picked up a A855 on eBay (there isn't anything on red right now that I want, yes I'm picky) for under $70. Got it home and it works great. But that's not why I'm posting this, I'm posting this because when I got the phone and started looking around I found that it was full of music and personal pictures of (what I'm assuming is) the original owners girl friend. Yes they were that kind of pictures, well I had a good laugh at it and deleted them.

What surprises me about this is that it's 2011 and people are way more informed (or should be) then they once were, although this is my first smart phone (well I did had a Treo 700w but that was more of a clunky PDA that made phone calls then what I would consider a "smart phone") I have owned well over 10 PDA's (many that were bought and sold on eBay) and back then it was rather common to finally get what you bought only to find it full of past contacts, word files, pictures and even tax records (I'm not kidding you, Social numbers, full names, addresses, you name it and at one time or another I have found it). Back then it didn't bother me because (as I mentioned before) it was kind of the norm, you would just shake your head in disbelief preform a hard-reset and move on. Hell, that was a good 7 to 10 years ago, now we have iOS, Android, WM7, upgrade after upgrade people blow through phones faster then some go through shoes. It's an awesome time in personal tech, Android has really blown the doors open to the masses by offering something to the many of us who for whatever reason don't want anything to do with iOS. Ok, let me back it up a bit because this has gone on long enough, what surprises me about all of this how could someone that would want something so advance be so clueless as to not wipe the phone and memory chip on his device before selling it????????:icon_eek:
