Welcome! Mine just arrived via fedex but I'm at work...prolly taking it back to store though for razr as I heard its screen and processor are just a tad more to my taste but I will give a thorough investigation..JSM you know I will right? Anyway I will be having a blast! The razr was what I wanted originally but they said it wasn't out long enough. When I called yesterday to ask another person why? They said just take it to the store and change it out..lol Oh well, just want to make sure I'm happy as I'm very android savvy and only want the best, but the bionic IS right up there with the razr in the top notch devices for sure. Due to the nonremove batt, I will try to like the bionic anyway, its had many updates since first put out and should be ready to rock! Oooops sorry for the long welcome! Your in the right place!!!!

Hi Everybody! My bionic is my first Android phone. Good to be apart of the Forums. Lots of great info!

Welcome to DroidForums!! We are glad to have you with us and make sure to stick around and enjoy the community we have here!!

Hello all,

I am looking forward to getting to know as many of you as possible. I would have normally said "everyone," but I know how big a forum this is. I have a Bionic, that I bought the first day they came out. I had an HTC Incredible that I had in my hand on launch day, but did not buy, then had to wait for the supply demand to settle down. So, while I liked, not loved, the Incredible, I knew it was time for a new phone, and with the hype, delays, time to completely re-design, I figured I wouldn't make the same mistake I did, not buying the HTC when it was in my hand, and then ending up waiting for them to fill the glass shortage, to fulfill orders. I knew the S-2 was on it's way, and that gave me some pause, but i would deal with it. I know this is for intros, so I will keep it at that, but as much as I really like the Bionic (I am not having any of the bugs, at least that I have detected) but I am not happy about the immediate release of the Razr. I will save that for the appropriate thread.

I never had problems with programming pop3 on any phone, but I am now, so that will be my first stop, but I will be then visiting Bionic vs. Razr threads next. Not that I expect Verizon to make a phone, then kill their own sales, but they could have released both, with a premium on the Razr, and maybe a discount on the Bionic. But they rolled out the Bionic, kept the Razr secret, and not only screwed over (and I mean by just not offering a choice for the loyal customers that waited) but I understand that there is a task management system on the Razr that they will not release for the Bionic. Obsolescence goes with these products, but could you imagine the uproar if Apple released the 4s and then 6 weeks later released an iPhone 5? I know I said I would go join that thread, but they bungled the Bionic, invested a lot of time redesigning it, and started concurrently working on another phone, but kept it quiet. So instead Motorola, or Verizon, or both, just duped their most loyal customers.
As I said, it could have been done right, but they showed how to not do it, especially when you are almost definitely going into a subsidy contract. At the very least, there should be a substantial trade in program, but that is another problem with loyalty to a CDMA carrier. If the Bionic wasn't stuck as a domestic USA phone, they could buy them back, but there not, so thy just burned their customers...enough on an intro thread....LOL.

I'm charging my bionic I just got, and headed to verizon tomorrow for the razr if they have one left. I did my reserch but they told me two days after the razr was released I wasn't eligible..lol I called a day later and I actually was...so, they did it to themselves, or the guy was getting a bonus for the bionic..anyway all reallity I have fouteen days, but why wait if that's the one I wanted when I took the agreement..anyway I haven't even turned the bionic on yet but deep inside I feel the desire to stick to the original plan...

Nice that you caught a break. I was out of time, especially with the new 14 day instead of 30 day return policy. I might have been able to yell and scream, and get them to accommodate me, but as I posted yesterday, I was really lucky as far as not having any of the Bionic bugs (sort of) ....how is this for funny? After I posted here for the first time, and said I had no bugs, an APP vanished, which is one of the known bugs. Supposedly you are supposed to have no trouble bringing it back, but I cannot find it!!! And it was a $6.49 app, no less!!!

Trust me..If you get the right person on the phone, you'll get the razr...I liked the bionic screen maybe more than the razr......lol

D2D is on the Razor's Edge!!
Peace!!-------- )))))

Howdy folks, have been perusing most of these type forums, have concluded the folks here seem to be the most tolerant/respectful of new folks like me with stupid questions, finally decided to get a login. Have a Bionic (previously a DroidX) Have done basic rooting stuff, am trying to absorb from here everything I need to know before I proceed further and end up with a $299 door-stop:blink:. Thanks for what I've learned already!

nope just press and hold the icon, the trash can appears and drag it to the trash... That's it.. don't worry it's always in your market so your only removing it from your home page

Wassup, just here to make my Droid and or any Droid better. This site rocks :hail: and im always on top of Tech cuz of Droid Forums. Thanks
