Hi everyone- Although I don't have a Motorola Droid, I do have an Android device. I have the HTC Thunderbolt, and have had it since it came out. I'm happy to say that my phone now has gingerbread 2.3.4 on it after Verizon's OTA update. It's a lot better that Froyo, but I know that there's a lot of custom roms and things to learn here so I can make my phone what I want it, and I'm looking forward to that. Never rooted my phone before, but if I figure out how to save everything I've got now and be able to revert back to stock should I not like all these ROMs, then I'll be a happy camper.

Hello all. I've been on here for a little while, but never posted. Been reading and learning, watching and waiting for a phone to properly replace my overworked and aging D1. I'm actually on a relatively "new to me" D1, as the phone it replaced was ill placed during testing of some handloads(one in a million shot!)....and the phone before that VZW swapped out due to it failing to take an OTA...I'd been waiting on that OTA for something like 9 months...lol Probably had nothing to do w/ the phone being rooted, and then accepting an OTA. lol A wealth of knowledge is stored or linked in this forum.
I'm anxiously waiting on the Galaxy Nexus to come out.

Thanks shadez. I think I spend too much time on here looking for news on the Nexus already... once it comes out, I'll be on here even more looking for first hand accounts, reviews and rooting info before I get mine.

I'm from Germany and new to this Forum to learn more about Android and it's users in other countries. I'm using a Motorola Defy and here's my first question: I could not find the Defy in the listed devices, where are Defy Threads and Posts listed? Thanks for help.
A few words bout me, I use 2 devices, one with CM7 nightly, mostly up to date and one with a german translated and modded Galnet Miui ROM. This ROM is weekly updated for german users by myself. I add some build.prop tweaks and changes in framework. So now I'm looking forward to get new Tips and Tricks from you and learn more about Android here. Hope to have a good time here...:biggrin:
