Just (finally) got my extended battery for my droid 1.
Battery came charged @ 60%, I went ahead and fully charged it, waited a few mins then topped off again.
Cleared battery cache and rebooted.
70% battery life @ the 10 hour mark now, granted I live in a good signal area as well as only using the phone about a hour for internet related stuff (10 mins of a new game, checking tapitalk, FB, light browsing). Only a text message or two as well as a few mins talk time. Light Friday night for me.
Planning to run this thing all the way down, then charge to full, before I resume my trickle charging I do when I am within range of a micro usb.
My goal is 24 hours of normal usage, granted normal usage doesn't mean watching 2 hour movies and playing PlayStation emulated games for another 4 hours, however I want that feeling of always worrying about my phones charge and planning ahead to make sure I have the juice to be gone.
I use my stereo Bluetooth headphones quite often, as well as for a extended amount of time. I can crush a stock battery with about 6 hours of stereo Bluetooth. I was getting to the point that I started just carrying 2 batteries around, one wrapped in plastic and shoved in my wallet.
I need to do something about the mismatched paint on the extended battery (because it's the droid2 version). Either I am planning on stripping off the blue paint and polishing the steel underneath to give a brushed finish look, then seal it off with a body armor kit, or I am going to get a sheet of that carbon fiber paper and cover the battery door with that. Any suggestions?
