Droid 2 global d2g GINGERBREAD DEFINITELY COMING!

So, I wonder how long before somebody will work up a root hack for it for the Gingerbread update? Or are there any generic Gingerbread rooting apps out there?

Some think Gingerbreak will work, since it works fine on DX.

It *should*. I seriously doubt they patched the exploit that they used to get root with it.....

If I were to go to the verizon store and have them push it to my phone. Would I be able to find the update on my phone and then post it for you hose jockeys?

If I only rooted and froze apps with titanium can I just unroot with z4 and unfreeze the apps or do I have to go back to stock

Should be good by unfreezing. Idk if you have to unroot. May not have to.

Depends on if they also force-install as well. If not then yes, you could. The update gets deleted upon successful install.

You can get OTA update only using stock. So if you dont have stock backup, you should sbf the phone.

So no one has got gb yet? I think it was a week after it was announced for the x that people actually started getting it. I am excited at the news but also content with fenom.

Not sure but from what I understand they are rolling it out by server....just wish I knew what order so I could figure out approximately when I'll get the update

I'm not even sure she's D2G either. I think the Fascinate just got an update, and it seems people have been having issues with it.

all this flurry over GB had me nandroid back to stock and delete cwm recovery (oops deleted the wrong logwrapper, got bootloops and had to sbf lol!). I feel that by the end of the month it should be here for most of us. Just hold tight fellas, but remember! There will be no root for a while until someone figures out how to hack it!
