Droid 4 Utility ICS Only

Damn, someone needs to mirror this somewhere. Download speeds are terrible. I'm downloading the tool right now. I may upload it somewhere if that is okay with the OP?

That speed is on 50Mbps Road Runner... Noticed that host site is usually very slow.

No problem if you want to mirror. All I have is slow dsl at home and 3g. Will be in a 4g area this week on biz. I will try an alternate site for upload.

Anyone else having trouble re-rooting the phone after going to .217? I tried using the Droid 4 utility's root option, but it keeps giving me this result (tried it twice):

I rooted just fine after going from 215 to 217. Just a guess but are you sure that the phone isn't in usb mass storage?

Hi jsnweitzel, thanks a lot for your quick reply and for providing this tool. Unfortunately, nope, I have my phone in "Camera" mode, not USB mass storage. I just tried it again a couple of times after double-checking the USB mode and explicitly re-selecting "Camera" mode, but still got the same error messages as before.

Hmmm I don't think it matters but I have had my phone in MTP when using this root method. Worth trying if you haven't done so already.

No worries, I just created a thread with the 1.7meg tool that Dan Rosenberg made. We'll have to be prepared to guide people who are can't get the update to work or for those jumping from an older leak to 217 :p

I think maybe you should rewrite the steps. Step 1 and Step 2 are the same, and Step 3 I think should come first. As I ended up downloading the update zip twice.
