Droid Bionic heading towards Verizon

Here we are....anxious to find out if it really does have 1GB Ram. LOL!! I trust your sources CK...but I also know we as humans can make mistakes.....its part of being human.
She said "512mb of ram? Where did you get that from? Not on this handset."

Just passing it on : )

What's killing me is the SHIFT on phone companies. Second quarter!? Verizon sold its soul to Apple, Apple probably wanted to be first with front cam and 4g.... unless HTC releases something this month (hope so). Damn verizon, sold its soul to the fruit... guess att will be the new android hub... how crazy is that

Cereal,

I sure hope you are right about that, and that whoever is wrong, updates their specs. This phone is unbelievable. The Bionic and Atrix are the 2 most advanced smartphones in it's respective times that I've ever seen.

Now there is a source I trust! Locked or unlocked bootloader is the question, by now I am sure we can figure out the answer though even if it's not what we want to hear.

Rebel; If it's a locked bootloader, would it make it a "Droid XX (Droid X 2/ Bionic)? And if so..would you still get it?

That's a good question, with a dual core processor and 1gb of ram, do I really need to root it? I do like being able to do what I want with my D1 but with specs like this phone has I can live without not being able to reach any file on the phone. I am not sure we will see another unlocked bootloader from Moto so at this point I will make a well thought out purchase based on specs.

Yeah see I'm not really "in the know" about Dual Core at all. It sounds cool. And I'm sure I'd rather have a dual core rather than a (?) single core if I had my choice. But exactly what will the dual core do for my device that's needed beside making gaming faster? This is a vital question for me because it seems like the "Dual Vs. Single Core" debate is pretty much the bread and butter for choices of next devices.

How do we benefit from a DUAL Core that will change our phone experience more than a single core?

Nice phone. Too bad the bootloader will most likely be locked :( I'm out

I'm betting the bootloader is locked also. Its a damn shame. I love my Motorola Droid X but swore i would not buy another phone with a locked bootloader. This phone looks awesome though.

This will probably end up being my next phone. Looks amazing both appearance and spec wise.

As for the locked bootloader, depending on what chipset it's running.... The locked bootloader the DX and D2 had was a "feature" of TI's OMAP. If it's not TI, there will likely not be as locked (Here's to hoping)

Thats what I was thinking to myself reading engadget. "Damn, the first dual core device worth looking it is going to be locked down"

Guess I'll do the Thunderbolt. The fact I'd have to wait until 2nd quarter for the Bionic is crippling..

But then again...mama told me "not to be the first to do anything" (4gLTE, Dual Core). If I wait until November...I'm sure something else wonderful, marvelous will make me happy

You realize that the additional core and 1024 megabytes of ram equal spare battery or carrying your charger all the time to make it through the day. Its like an alienware laptop...fast as hell and always dead.

This looks sweet. But if the Revolution lands first, it will be hard to wait. Good thing I have an upgrade in the bank and 1 in June:)
