Droid going "end of life" at Best Buy...

Verizon won't have a Nexus One commercial until closer to release day.

Verizon may never have a N1 commercial unless they actually stock the phone.

People will show up to try it out only to find just a picture.

I stopped by a T-Mobile mall store to look at one. They told me they don't even stock a demo model, then also told me the N1 didn't have great reviews. Probably so I would get a phone they stocked.

when you have forums like this and people like all of the devs we have here and across other boards...this doesn't really matter. We will always have new mods and updates to new versions of android...so just root your phone and get over it

When I bought my Droid from BBY, the sales rep tried to tell me that the screen resolution on the Eris was better than the Moto Droid, I laughed. As far as BBY discontinuing Moto Droid, I don't see that happening. I live a stone throw away, literally down the street from BBY headquarters, on the billboard in front of BBY HQ is Moto Droid that has been there for since it released and has been updated several times. They might get the N1, but won't discontinue. Look at BB pearl and how long they carried it before it reached EOL.

so theres a good chance if i bought the phone from walmart it would have 2.01? or would it be like mentioned where a store bought a ton of them and im getting like a first one lol

Doesn't matter, as soon as you activate the phone, it will prompt to download the newest update.

When I got the Droid, I knew that they had just released a new model in Korea that smokes the Droid but also figured that we were not getting it any time soon. At the end of the day, this thing is unreal and light-years better than the Palm Pre it replaced. The Pre was light-years better than the Blackberry Storm it replaced which was way better than the Treo 750W it replaced. At the end of the day, the Droid is awesome and the battery life is great too. Can't always be the fastest kid on the block. :motdroidvert:
