I didn't really have the reboot issues before. Just a few random ones here and there, but very few. Nothing I hadn't experienced with all of the other Android phones I've had. But since the latest update, I've had zero random reboots. Absolutely none.

Droid Pro Just Began Restarting On It's Own

Mine was random, post-update. Stopped after a couple of days and several battery pulls. Probably jinxing myself here!!

I updated the software and the phone is fine now

Before the software update, mine sucked. Ran really hot all the time and rebooted constantly.
Now it's great.
Now it's great.
I was very lucky to get my DROID pro when I did. It seems like the 4/22 3.8.7 OTA fixed all of the issues most people we having. Its unfortunate that some people are still having issues. My pro runs flawlessly and runs much better than any rom I tried on my d1 and my d2. The form factor of the pro is obviously what puts it above the rest IMO. I sure did miss the form factor of my old treo when I was experimenting with the DROID 1 & 2. Now I have the best of both.
I noticed my droid pro reboots when it's trying to change it's orientation and it's ram is spiked. i got rid of my task killers and reverted to the stock task manager and just added a bunch of stuff to auto kill and that seems to have helped a lot. my droid use to restart all the time while i used di.fm's app to stream music and i would also be running google navigator at the same time and if i would get a call or anything as soon as i pick up my phone and change the screen orientation the phone would freeze and restart and i would follow with a long string of vulgar curse words. if i would reply to the text with the same screen orientation the phone wouldn't restart. it also happened to me while i wasn't using navigator or the di.fm app but still when i changed orientation from landscape to portrait it would restart.
i use to have the same issue of the cycle boot with my original moto droid. after my phone started doing it constantly it fried itself. i got it to stop cycle booting and the next day i locked my screen and the phone wouldn't turn on again. if your phone is doing that a lot make sure you have your stuff backed up b/c your phone might crap.
