[TOOLS] DROID RAZR Utility 1.6 [Now Contains 6.12.181 Fastboot files]

Anyone know if there's a mac version of this utility? The .181 update caused me to lose root even though I'm using Voodoo (which is getting denied superuser permissions).

soooooo i was trying to go back to GB from ics .79 leak using the droid razr utility 1.6.. and i think its bricked.

Its stuck on the moto "M" logo. can anything be done or am i SOL?

Yes, as the hundreds of posts warning that trying to return from ICS will brick your device have said. Yes, you are SOL. Did you not read anything at all before you flashed it?

I actually did read plenty of posts before trying ICS leack.. and every post i read said you can back to GB as long as you are ics .75 or .79.

so after playing around with for an hour, i got my phone to boot back to .79.

can someone help me get back to GB .181

I had same problem when tried going back to gb.. last step hangs.. tried on 2 different pcs but it did work eventually.

brought razr back from BW ICS to 6.12.181 but phone was acting wack. now trying to fastboot back to 6.12.181 again but its not working; instead its doing this...

I have a rooted RAZR MAXX (Gingerbread). The ICS OTA is due out any moment now so I was wondering about my options. What is the best way for me to get to rooted ICS for this phone?

My recommendation for switching ROMs whether it's to flash a custom ROM or to take an OTA update is to wipe everything, start from a clean slate and root afterward. Since I know most people won't want to do that the easiest way for you to do it is probably just be on stock rooted 6.12.181 and use voodoo to restore root after the OTA.

You need to put it in AP Fastboot mode, not just turn on debugging.


Power off the phone and then hold both volume buttons + the power button until you see the screen flash. Let go of the buttons and use the volume down button to scroll to AP Fastboot and then the volume up button to select it. Then use the utility to fastboot to .173
