Droid update this morning

Well what kind of apps do you want? I know the new FIOS app is rocking. There is a Directv app coming (100% positive on that one) The Iphone is 3 years old and has had time to mature!

Yes it will be like the IPhone app. It "should" be ready very soon. Sooner than 2.1 I think. We will put it on the front page when it's released to us. What else can I say but it works very very well :icon_ devil::icon_ devil:

Yes I do know and yes it is coming, also the Sling app is coming at a $30 cost though. Fios was just released to the market also .

sup everybody. sooo ive gotten no 60+ MB update yet (san jose, CA)
I'm just wondering.. for release of updates does it come out all at once..or release in groups at a time...for no overload?

depending on that answer.. was also wondering if they have a striaght system of how they release it..or its just random of who gets it first..then next..next..so on.

I'm in San Jose, CA and i have not gotten it.

I got the notice for the update at about 03:00 this morning, saw that it was 2.01 when I already had that one since I bought the phone just before Xmas. After applying it, my superuser permissions app was gone, and SU access shut off. Reapplied the root package and all returned to normal.

Everyone in this thread who got the update is carrying a Droid I thought. The answer to your question is I am not sure, but I am sure it will be pushed to all droids. That means that all Droids "should" be ready for the 2.1 OTA update when I arrives. It will arrive very soon. This is the second maintanance release for the Droid in 2 months. Nice track record if you ask me

Then my misunderstanding the droid update sign on the facebook page threw me off, but yeah...I'm still hoping for the 2.1 update on the 22nd

Not sure if you know this/are allowed to comment, but if we've been toying with the idea of rooting, do you know if it would be worthwhile to avoid this update, waiting for devs to push out a rooted version of it, or will the current exploit still function?

I haven't tried a custom ROM that was smooth as a pushed update...but they are getting better...

One Question..Why do you want to Root?
