Droid X August 25th?

I ordered my X on 8-12 in the Verizon store & haven't herd anything either.

this thread seems pointless its just a guy complaining on how he doesnt want to wait for his phone... did you ever put into consideration how hot the droid x is and your gonna have to wait my droid one is barely working and when i went to verizon last week thinking i was going to get a droid x because the sales would have died down by now they told me 3 weeks before i get it shipped or in store apparently nyc is completely sold out of both the droid x and droid incredible for the next few weeks and im patiently waiting

Ordered on the 7th...

-Order on Augst 7th
-Did not receive a notification yet
-Status of order never changed from original
-Called CS yesterday and got the standard answer "...shipped by August 25th"

UPDATE:
-Sent an email to CS on 18th, asking about DX and said that a lot of people who order way after me have already received theirs.
-On the 19th got a shipping notification with estimated delivery of 8/23
-a few minutes later, I Received an email from CS apologizing for the delay and said they have a high demand bla bla bla...

Congrats Shalom! I emailed Customer service yesterday and received a response today. My Droid X shipped yesterday, for delivery Monday by 7pm. Yay!?!

Jus called CSR and she said my phone shipped yesterday and should be here the 23rd. =-D. i also asked her for your guys' sake why people who ordered the 12th are getting their phone before pple that ordered the 7th. . she said she honestly couldnt tell me, and that it depends on when the orders get to them, maybe some of the verizon stores were slacking.

received: Delivery date is 8/24, but hoping the local FedEx office gets it in tomorrow so I can pick it up! Otherwise I'll be able to grab it on the 23rd. FedEx WILL hold it until the deliver by date on the package.

Hmm, what's more pathetic? A bunch of people passing the time as they await their awesome new gadget, or some tool who has nothing better to do than read our posts and comment on how pointless they are. Nobody needs to raise their hand, it's a rhetorical question.

update: Just Spoke to a friend who works for Verizon in Central PA.

My friend told me HE didn't even get an email and his wife's X just showed up at their door last week

So yesterday I talk to a CSR and got the "shipped by the 25th" answer. This was about 4:30p. I took the survey after the call and told them how I felt about having to wait so long, why the hell VZ didn't plan better for this, etc. This morning I get a call from a CSR wanting to follow up on the survey. He proceeds to tell me that my phone shipped yesterday at 3:00pm and gave me a tracking number. Then he gave me a month's service credit for the inconvenience. Part of that was from having to deal with some pretty bad customer service in the local store.

So.....
Ordered: Aug. 7
Notification: Had to beg and plead with no use until today.
Received: Expected Aug. 23
Location: West Chester, OH
Status: Long time customer, Early upgrade with promo pricing

Cool... I did not get my email... But, called Fedex and they showed it was shipped today. The Fedex CSR told me that I would get the package on Tuesday, But if lucky because of the weekend I might get it on Monday.
