Droid X August 25th?

I received my shipment confirmation email today at 11:09 cst. My DX shipped from memphis. I ordered my DX online on 8/8/2010. It took 11 days from processing to ship. I will receive my DX tomorrow by 4:30 P.M.

Cool... CS says that we on the West coast will have the phones shipped on the 25th and receive them on the 27th...

I guess I'm in the same boat as most here. I ordered in the store on the 7th. Finally my impatience got the best of me two days ago and I called customer service. They have no idea what the hell is going on. She could tell me that I had ordered it on the 7th but not when it was supposed to ship. She said "we will know when Fedex has given us a tracking number". What kind of place are they running? You can't give me any details on an order until you hand it off to the shipping company!? I stand by my thoughts that Verizon has the best network and the worst customer service. With the popularity of the Droid, how could you drop the ball so bad on the Droid X and not order enough to fill the demand?

Sorry, I just really needed to vent. My wife and I bought her HTC Droid Incredible and my Droid X on the same day. She has had hers for over a week. She has even ordered a case from Amazon and had it for a couple days. So I'm just really annoyed.

Now the dummies told me NOT to expect a tracking number. They said by the time they get it Fed Ex probably already has the phone on its way.

Just more BS...but I was told to expect it to ship by 25th and arrive by 27th for about the 6th time!!

I just got off the phone with CS and got the same. Will ship by 25th. If I get a dud on the first try like some. I'm going to explode!

I just talked to a CSR and she said that ll the phones should get shipped from Texas...If anyone has received thier DX please let us know where it came from...

I know what your talking about, I've only seen like a few people on here that are on the west coast. I ordered mine three days ago and I'm trying to get an estimate on how long it will take.

I'm in California (in Phelan - pretty close to you, KE6ZAP) as well. Ordered in store on the 7th and haven't heard anything either. When I ordered I was told I'd get it on the 11th or 12th. I waited until the 13th to call CS and they said it would be shipped by the 25th.

I can't complain TOO much, though. My annual renewal wasn't until November, but I received an early upgrade flier in the mail. I also wasn't charged an early upgrade fee and was given an instant rebate rather than a mail-in. So I paid $199+tax. But I still want my phone baaadly!

Wow, I guess I'll be expecting my phone the 31st then..:icon_ cry: I kind of got excited reading that some people received their shipping info in a week. But then again most of those people are from the north east. It seems to be a trend from what I've been reading.

My current phone is on its last legs... I told them with the problems I'm having, that I can't use the Blackberry features even though I 'm paying for them... The CSR noted in my account to give me a 15% discount on my next bill...
