Droid X August 25th?

I ordered my droid x in-stores on the 7th. I finally got my confirmation email today! it will get to me on the 18th! dancedroid

Got my shipping info today via *611. Order placed on the 8th, left FedEx facility on the today at 1:00 PM, and is in transit, expected delivery Thursday!

You gotta be kidding me... I ordered on the 7th and still haven't received any shipping confirmation. I called Verizon CS and they said it shows shipment pending. She said that orders placed online are shipping in less than 5 days right now. I just made the mistake of ordering in the store and she said the stores distributer in California is behind and the phone could ship at the end of the week if im lucky.. great. My storm has bit the dust and I am without a phone until the X gets here. Glad to hear that others are having better luck getter their phones.

I ordered my DX on the 11th online I have not heard anything yet? if the 5 day thing is true it should be coming soon. I can not wait

Also ordered ours on the 7th and no email yet. We ordered via tellephone..fiance had called to see if we were both still elligable for the early upgrade mail we had received and told them to order us both the Droid X after it was confirmed. We live in georgia. I hope our email comes soon, and the phones follow soon after..we both have a blackberry curve 8330 and have had plenty of problems.

I am honestly thinking now that I'll never see a shipping email and the phone will just show up one day this week at my front door! I'm just going to put a note on my door for fed ex if I have to leave my house this week so they will just leave my phone on my covered porch.

I was told 25th until I dialed *611 and got a tracking number. My phone shipped exactly 7 days after I ordered it (in store).

update: Just Spoke to a friend who works for Verizon in Central PA.

He said honestly Verizon's email notification is a joke. Don't expect an email, in fact if you actually get one you are in the minority. My friend told me HE didn't even get an email and his wife's X just showed up at their door last week a week before the supposed ship by date.

Moral of the story. If you have waited 7 days after ordering...start putting a sign on your door so the FedEx guy just leaves your package at your door. Your X should arrive within 7-12 days after ordering it and you are PROBABLY NOT going to get a shipping email and tracking number.

Has anyone called 611 and been told no tracking and no shipping yet actually gotten their phones that same day or the next day without Verizon having a clue about it?

Ordered online 8-10 around noon, in Western New York. Received my confirmation shipping email around 10 am today...the status on verizon website did not change, don't think they are quick with updating that...FYI

I have been lurking on this site waiting for some indication that my droid x would arrive. I purchased in store on August 7th and was told i would receive it by August 25th. I am pleased to announce that I received it this morning. I did not receive an email confirmation or tracking number. I hope this helps people waiting as anxiously as I was.....

I just called CS and got my tracking info!!! It is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow the 18th!! So excited!
I ordered on the 7th in store. I'm in Georgia. I never got a shipping email like they said I would.
