[DROID2] Liberty ROM - v 2.0

On the first page of the thread there was an option to purchase the Liberty Tool Box Donate app. This is the 2nd way to update the ROM itself. I am coming from version 1.5.
There is a thread specifically for the liberty toolbox, so thats why I was unsure. As for the upgrade, from the very first line of text under the three pics says "
Note: It is Highly Recommended that you Wipe before installing Liberty 2.0.1 even if you have 1.5 installed. If you don't then don't report bugs :P"
So you should wipe, install the rom while still in clockwork recovery, then install liberty toolbox manually with astro file manager or if you have the android sdk, adb will install it.

If you look a few posts down under the stickies in this forum theres a thread with previews of most of them. I agree though, some sort of preview in the tool box would be nice.

Yea but none of the tool box themes are posted on there, and a lot of the old themes aren't there (1.5/1.0 I guess). It seems like there are very themes available, actually, but in reality there just isn't previews of most of them, or they aren't confirmed for 2.0 yet?

Just wanted to say Awesome Job to everyone who worked on Liberty. I used the Liberty ROM during my whole Droid 2 experience and it was awesome! I am moving on to the Thunderbolt but just wanted to say thanks and great Job.

You might see us on the Tbolt ;) Jrummy and I both own one.

I really really want to flash liberty. It will be my first rom. Just so I'm straight, I have a rooted d2. So I go into clockwork wipe data /cache and dalvik cache (after making a backup) then install from sd. Also the file for the d2 is about 114mb. Does that sound right? Just want to cover my ***. Thanks!

How would I go about getting back the stock liberty theme? I installed the Epic Blue theme and I didn't care for it. I didn't make a backup and I don't want to loose my data. Any ideas?

All you have to do is wipe data. Not cache, not dalvik cache. Not that it hurts, just unneeded. For me Librety D2 donwload is about 111 MB.

So do you think I should do it with the download size being different? It's only a few mb but... I did get it from the liberty post. One more question, I heard 2.0 is more stable than 2.0.1 is that true?

Dont quote me on this, but i think it will be safe. If for some reason the zip is corrupt or anything, i think clockwork will tell you. You can also try out this app AFV (Android File Verifier)
and see if it will properly test the zip for you.

Well I did wipe EVERYTHING and it seemingly bricked my d2. I had a horrible night trying to get it back. I started a thread about it. Maybe you could add something. I prob shouldn't have wiped the dalvik and cache partition. I couldn't get into cw or anything. Bad first experience

Same here. Started with v1.5, now on v2.0.1

v2.0.1 works great. I haven't had any issues so far.

I just watched a vid on youtube and this guy mounted system. Maybe that was my issue that caused my failure and need to sbf? I just want to get this rom on my d2!

I did a data and cache wipe on mine as well but did not mount system when I put Liberty 2.0.1 on my phone so not sure if that was your problem. Let me know exactly what you did and maybe I can help you. Will do my best anyway.

Wiped data, cache and dalvik cache(don't ask me why) and when I installed it just sat on the boot logo. I let it sit for at least 15 min. I did a lot of research and study before doing it so I felt prepared. Finally had to sbf cause it wouldn't go any further than that. I even checked the file size and scanned it for errors and it (the file 2.0.1) is good as far as I can tell.
