[DROID2] Liberty ROM - v 2.0

I installed the Liberty Rom and then installed another rom. Before installing the second one i have wiped the device and deleted all cached information but for some reason when i boot up my device im still showing the splash screen for Liberty.

How can i get rid of it.

I am currently running GummyJAR Rom

Thats exactly what I was going to suggest. You followed the steps perfectley so it may have been a bad download of one file or the other.

Yep your steps are dead on. That is one thing I do like about this forum over any other I have ever been on is the willingness of the members to help others with their phone issues. I was very impressed with this when I joined after I got my D2G and decided to root and rom it.
 
Stuck on Liberty splash screen

Hey all, I'm having an issue... i've been running L1.5 for a while.... I donated and got the toolbox... I then used the toolbox to update to 2.01
It all worked fine... I then tried do a nightly to G02... I install bootloader.... it's successfull and then I download and it goes thru the install.. I select wipe and backup.. it reboots... goes thru a bunch of stuff scrolling text, etc... then reboots again and just sits at the liberty splash screen... any ideas? Thanks.
 
So I have a question, when you flash the new rom do you clear the cache or no? Becasue I see sometimes you have to do it and sometimes you dont. Are theyre any advantages or disadvantages of deleting the cache? Im about to flash this, tis my first time and I want to make sure I dont mess it up. Also which cache, becasue arent there 2?

Yes you do need to. The only time you wouldn't is if your flashing to a new version of the same rom (even then I would). There's only 1 cache and its cleared when you wipe data/cache.

Yeah my mistake in the past was wiping the dalvik. Messed me up good! Had to sbf.

Hey all... so I got it by redownloaded and retrying, but I can't get network connection now...im traveling but I can get my browser online but not anything else requiring data. I also cannot get logged into google maps. It says login failed and then Wen I reenter info, it says account already created cuz its my market account... *sigh*... TIA

In your pulldown it should have a notification there asking for permission. After you allow it, you should be able to log in. Had that issue last night with the new Google Maps.
