Just installed this, rebooted and my phone now won't boot and it's stuck on a black screen.
What do I do?

And I can't access the recovery mode, even when I get the battery out. It's just a black screen.

How did you install?

As advised in the instructions. Made a backup, then "install from zip... etc etc"

And to the guy above the one I'm quoting. I'm gonna try that and edit this post. Thanks.

EDIT: Tried getting into stock recovery, but it won't work. (Pressing the x key on the physical QWERTY keyboard and power button, right?)

BTW, I think it's worth mentioning that the LIBERTY boot image appears when I turn my phone on. and THEN the screen goes black.

OK so you can't access stock recovery (power and x on the d2, power and home on dx) did you try the battery trick i mentioned above? If you are getting no where then see if you can get to the bootloader by holding power and the up key. From there you can sbf (unfortunately this looks like what you have to do)

I finally got to the stock recovery mode. I plugged in the USB, chose the file in the RSD lite, clicked start... and nothing happens. I think my computer is failing to recognise the device...

WHat do I do? :S

Whoa! What? You don't do an sbf in stock recovery. Totally different things. SBF is done in bootloader mode. Stock recovery is where you can do a data reset. Make sure you do some reading before messing up the phone!

You need to go to the motorola site and make sure you have the latest drivers. Also what kind of computer are you on? Win xp, win 7?

My pc won't detect the device.

Did everything, I then clicked on the "Start" button and nothing happens.

Did you click the box with 3 dots and select the sbf file (make sure you extract the full sbf zip to your desktop) rsd won't read the zip. Make sure it's the FULL SBF. Your device may show up as s flash or n/a. Its ok.

I extracted it and everything. My device doesn't even show up =/

What comes up on the left window of rsd? Which computer are you on? If win 7,you need to run rsd as administrator by right clicking on the rsd icon
