[DROID2] Liberty ROM - v 2.0

Hi,
I am new to rooting and fairly new to the android platform. I just recently rooted my D2 and did the backup thing. Next step was to install a custom rom and this one caught my eye. After installing it I found that my keyboard didn't light and all my data (apps, msgs, contacts) were gone. I got spooked and restored to my last backup. I believe I followed the instructions for installation. Is this normal? Any tips on how to install without losing the data? Thanks in advance.

Wow thanks for the prompt reply! I had Titanium Backup already just didn't know how to use it properly. Read the link and now I'm about to give this another shot, crossing my fingers and hoping it doesn't go over like a fart in a spacesuit. Again THANK YOU!!!

Best Rom I have used so far guys. Great work! The toolbox is a wonderful idea as well.

Sorry I'm a little newbie on ROMs. But will I be able to install this on my Droid 2 Froyo 2.2.2 version 3.23.0 (this is what it says on system version) Kernel 2.6.32.9, and overclocked @ 1.3GHz?

Thanks!
Andrew.

Thanks....also I heard about some 3g issues with this ROM? any other bugs that you know of? does this have LED customizations?

Hmm. No issues thus far with 3G, and I have had it for a while.

And no I don't think it does, but there are apps that let you in the market.

Sorry, not sure what its called though. Id search LED changer or something like that. But be careful because I changed mine and deleted the app, and now I have random colors flashing from my LED sometimes.

Just installed this, rebooted and my phone now won't boot and it's stuck on a black screen.
What do I do?

And I can't access the recovery mode, even when I get the battery out. It's just a black screen.

Did you try pulling the battery while being plugged in? Then unplug, replace the battery and reboot. That should get you into clockwork (to restore a backup) Also, if that does not work, Can you boot into stock recovery by holding power and the x key? From there try a reset. If not, you may need to sbf.

From my Liberated DROID2 at 1.25ghz
