To give you all a look at some stats. BlackDroid's section accounted for less than 1% of the total posts here..... a dispointment for sure,but no the end of the world. We will welcome everyone here but the rules apply. Flaming and non family friendly posts will be deleted.

What this means is come and visit, or come and post, or make your home DF or wherever. We want you here. Please do it with the standard we set at the beginning as Df is returning to normal.

Also there is a pending apology from BD himself maybe as soon as today. This will be a very honest apology and is also the right thing to do. He will post it in this thread

I agree with you. Though he has his own forum now so we'll be a after thought I guess........

I ran One if UD's 8.something and 9.0 and was OK with them but I switched to Cyanogenmod shortly after Koush was added and I have been completely satisfied. No bugs/glitches! I am also pleased with Jrummy's mods to the Cyanogenmod build, as well. I don't think I will miss UD and I sure won't leave DF. This stupid phone has become rather addictive!

I have a couple of nagging questions that I'm going to risk putting out there in hopes maybe someone who knows will share the answers.

1. Why did Blackdroid decide to put UD on Rom Manager in the first place?

2. What prompted the decision to stop supporting Rom Manager?

Hmmmm, I think the only way to get the real answers you seek, are to ask BlackDroid himself, he's the only one that can answer that.

Anything else from anyone but him is just speculation.

Maybe you could send him a PM and ask?? That's what I would do to get the real answers.

Yes, it is legit, but it's just a themed cyanogenmod rom ala blackdroid...

Well, it's hard to say really what his will actually be. In the end it is up to you, try whatever you want to try, if you like one thing better than the other stick with it till something better comes along...

I would have thought somebody would have already done that by now and would have those answers. I guess that information is confidential.

Since I sided with the DF Administrators in an earlier post in this thread, I will pass on PM'ing BD and drop the matter.

Just as a note: I did buy RM so I could install UD and uninstalled it in support later. I am using it again now and like it alot.

we will be alive for a while. Blackdroid and his team are not banned from here1 I wish them luck on the journey and hope he has learned a valuable lesson.

I would think there is some lessons to be learned by those who run this site.

It took what amounted to less than a dozen people to basically bring this place to its knees. Ultimately, these very few people got EXACTLY what they were looking at getting.

Basically, the message being sent is: If you want to change something here, go get your band of thug computer geeks, a proxy server, and in a few hours it's game over.

These supposed development leaders acted like a bunch of punk highschool kids.

By the way, the Android development community is a lot larger than this forum. This sent shock waves throughout it. While you may have seen 12 or so vocal individuals, it was spreading like wildfire across the internet, and making serious waves. Even devs for apps most rooters here use, such as SetCPU showed their support for cyanogen and their disapproval for UD and how it was (not) being handled.

I wonder if you would have felt it was no big deal what BD did if the dev for SetCPU suddenly decided to remove Droid support because of all of this?

This was not a small matter, by any means. Whether it was right to close BD's forum or not, I don't know. I know if I was in BD's shoes, I would have take a piece of humble pie, given credit where due, and moved on.

Well said Adrynalyne. I am amazed that there are people that don't understand what the problem is here. It's not that Blackdroid used the code.... We all waited for Blackdroids response to put this whole thing to rest, but he chose not to. Instead he chose to insult our intelligence.

The whole thing was a big mess and it all would have ended with Blackdroids response. He let this forum down and you should be upset with him. I can only hope there is only maybe 5 or so people that don't understand what this is about. It's like the people that talk in movie theaters... they don't know any better.

Again I mostly liked Blackdroids roms. He does good, and put together a group that offered great support. I would like to think that he is a young guy that will learn from this and it will help him grow as a person. He has his own home now and I wish him well. I will continue trying his roms....

Oh, and Blackdroid didn't draw in all the visitors lately..... it was 2.1

2.1 threads were huge and full of excitement! It is expected that once 2.1 dies down that things will slow a little bit.

But just wait for the next update, it will bring even bigger crowds.....The Droid is hot right now and getting hotter.... they will come.

So I came up with an end all-take all solution for blackdoid and koush..
Heres how I see it..BlackDroid and SRTfool vs. Koush and Cynogen. If UD team wins, there forums are opened back up, allowed to post, absolutely no flaming or anything, no explanation needed, as if this whole mess never happened.. If CM teams win, BD's section starts getting removed, blackdroid and srt must explain everything, and also no flaming or anything from anyone. the contest....
