DROIDX2 Gingerbread Update Appears to Be Ready, Newest Version of Blur Included

If it hasn't been pushed to your phone, usually you can't pull the update manually. It's like trying to copy a file on a server that isn't shared with you yet.

Just wait.

After the phases are complete, anyone can pull the update manually.

The phases haven't started yet, it has yet to be pushed to any phone yet.. All that went up was a document .. Even VZWSupport on twitter yesterday said there was no update yet.

According to VZWSupport on twitter it is going out today.

Yes but do you know of ANYONE even 1 little X2 that has received it when you posted this.. I see what they're putting out, I just have yet to see proof at this time of even 1 person getting the update..

Motorola announced that there would be a soak test some time ago: DROIDX2 July 2011 Soak Test to Begin, We’ll Assume that it’s Gingerbread - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

People on xda do seem to be receiving the update: Gingerbread out now! - xda-developers

i have a DX2 - rooted, debloated, supercharged etc.

not sure if i want to try it before there is root achieved...so try it at your own risk...

and on the XDA boards they are saying it is a froyo build number, and checking my phone info, it indeed is the same froyo build number, so i'm not touching that puppy...yet

looks like the real deal...verizon/daytona/daytona:2.3.3/4.5.1a-DTN-117-15 - don't know why the filname has the froyo build on it

It has the froyo number because the update is for the froyo build.
