Dump Bionic for Razr?

I just got the offer from VZW last week swap my Bionic for a RAZR and I was reluctant at first. (I wanted to wait to get a Nexus at the time) After getting this Razr I can honestly tell you that I am no longer considering the Nexus. This Razr is so dam sexy and responsive. I really love it. Plus in another 2 months we'll all have ICS on our phones. Motorola phones in my opinion are excellent (not counting the software issues that plague the Bionic) Once you actually use the Razr you will see what i'm talking about.

So what did you do to get them to make that offer? curious if I went to a VZW store and complained whether i'd get the offer.

Well I told them the truth. That from day one I've had connection issues and that the 14 day return policy didn't apply because the phone really hasn't worked for 14 days. They offered me a Razr for new contract price of $299 and I told them that wasn't good enough and they applied a $100 credit to my account. So I got it for $199.......but I still had my Bionic which I sold on line for $350 (breaking even) A lot of haggling but so worth it.

Verizon is willing to replace my Bionic with a Razr for my troubles. Problem is, I don't know if I should do it. Is it a better phone? My Bionic is fantastic when its working but I don't want to pass this up if the Razr is a superior device. What do you all think? I need advice. I wish I could somehow replace my Bionic with the Galaxy Nexus but that's not gonna happen.

Help folks please! Thanks!

Um yes!!! I replaced my 2nd defective bionic with a razr and have been very happy with it! I'm getting excellent battery life and no data issues. It's such a cool looking device that I do feel good about my purchase unlike how I felt when I was having many problems with my bionic! If they let you, definetely YES trade it..you will be happy

BTW. The Razr screen is gorgeous!! I don't know what "tint" people refer to? Ive Never seen any. I have my brightness on about medium and the screen is perfect. I've had people comment on the vibrant colors on razr's screen. Really, really, really!!! This IS an awesome phone!

Wow, would love for this to happen to me, My GF has the Bionic since day 1 and so many problems with data drop I would love to trade it in for a razr!

FWIW users have been having issues with data drops with the RAZR as well.

I had a RAZR for a week and did not like the display one bit. I also did not like the feel of it in my hand. Too wide, thin and light to handle comfortably. The width made it impossible for me to navigate one handed as well. Took it back and got a Bionic.

These are just my thoughts. I recommend anyone trying for themselves and not base their decision on someone else's experience.

Love my bionic. Razr gets really fricken hot in no time, colors are cartoonish with green tint and I've never had a phone that was this bright and easy to see in sunlight. To each their own. The razr is just the bionic with a bunch of sacrifices to be "the thinnest smartphone in the world".

trust me i wanted the bionic since January! I had the tbolt, charge, bionic, (and a few dozen more, ;)) and now the razr, and all those phone get hot with 4g on. Love the tbolt (rooted and rommed of course), charge was weak to me (no offense charge owners), the bionic was fast and quick, but i would lose data every 5 minutes (i know an update is coming soon) the deal breaker for me was the freaking SCREEN! I try to love it and try to keep it, but the screen is just horrible to me. Like you said the screen is good in sunlight, but wacthing youtube, netflix, and streaming videos, it just look undefined and the color was off. Like watching a video without one of the s-video/component cables not plugged in all the way or in.

heck my kid even said, whats wrong with your screen?? Anyhoot, had the Razr for 1 1/2 weeks, and i have no desire to turn it back. even went to go check the Rezound, wasn't impress either (wanted to check it out, as i'm a phone junkie, and end up picking the lapdock for myself:biggrin:) I'm no Moto homer, just like this phone and it'ss a keeper till my next upgrade. im a phone junkie, as you can tell by my small list of phones i've previously own. again, just my thoughts and justing giving my 2 cents is all.

To each his own. Id be happy with a razr if I couldn't have my bionic I just feel like bionic was made with the best performance in mind while razr is a bionic that Motorola took and said what can we sacrifice from bionic to make it skinnier and boost our rep with the thinnest smart phone. But like I said I would love to have a razr- both are top of the line phones that everyone should respect for their power... I just prefer my bionic. Also it helps that's I've never experienced the bugs other people have reported and .893 doubled my battery life. I don't agree with you about the screen but to each their own. :)

+1 my stock bionic lays down neck and neck numbers with the rzr in smartbench and toasts it in multithread in linpack... single thread is neck n neck.. thise r the only twi bench programs even worth mntioning as far as accuracy... Cheers to bionic.. i totally agree rzr made sacrifices to boast being the thinnest. And imho.. both screens have thier ups and downs. So its apples n oranges. Both r going ti be amazing on ics.. and if one gets bl unlocked hw is so similiar...the other will benefit. So i rlly think we should be working together and not arguing about whos got a bigger...... well u know :).. all im saying is both phonea are well... endowed.
