Contact the Dev, contact Google. If you never got the download you're entitled to you should get a refund.ok is anyone else having this problem i bought this app when it was on google. was not refunded the money when this ap was able to be downloaded again i never got an email with a code to receive this what do i do?
ha..yeah gotcha nowUm, maybe?
It'll should root your phone, but it doesn't have a 100% success rate, even if it says it works. I've dealt with several people who had problems with it. On the whole I'd say just root now, flash in SPRecovery, and then use that to install one of the rooted "virgin" (though how could anything be virgin if it's been rooted? ) FRG01A ROMs kicking around.
That's me, though. If you'd rather not do it that way, root with Easy Root, and then if you want to try themes and overclocking kernels and custom ROMs, ROM Manager from the market (assuming the root worked) will let you do all sorts of things. A caveat, though... ROM Manager is not playing well with FroYo at the moment.
Welcome to the Dark Side, then.ill try with this first..if it fails then ill do what you said first..
ill eventually figure this out.
im coming from the iphone os and windows mobile OS..im sure i can overcome learning about android
Um, maybe?

No. And I can say that with authority because the best method of rooting is still to flash SPRecovery to the phone via RSDLite, and sometimes a flash there won't take the first time, and if you lose power or knock the USB cable out, you're screwed. Too Easy Root (as I call it), is an alright program, but some of the root jobs it does are a bit shoddy. If all you want is to run WiFi tethering or USB tethering that doesn't require massive setup, an extra monthly payment to VZW, or $10-$30 out of pocket plus having to have a program running on whatever computer you're trying to tether, VERY mild overclocking, or some basic rooted apps, it's good. It's when you want to try themes/ROMs/custom kernels that the real issues come into play. As far as I'm concerned, nandroid/clockwork backups alone are worth flashing SPRecovery.Um, maybe?

Does any method of rooting have a 100% success rate? I mean for rooting n00bs (like I would be).
Because I don't trust the stock recovery console (from experience) and would like to be able to do proper backups like nandroid or Titanium--but I would also like to be able to have an idiot-proof way of un-rooting if I have to return or sell the phone.
I was considering Easy Root, but then I read your post here, and I know you know whereof you speak.
Do you have a link for that? I refuse to support code thieves (one reason Ultimate Droid will never see the light of LEDs on my phone), so if I've been telling people it's okay to use and I read otherwise I'll stop immediately.Don't support code theives, easyroot is a paid stolen app that was pulled from the market by google for being stolen code from the DM team. DMU will be free on its release, and will be bug free too.

And yes, folks, it's quite possible to steal open source code. You have to credit the source whenever possible.
